Been coming here for a year now. Matsu never fails to give me some amazing nails! Literally every new set is my new favorite. All visits have been quick and relatively affordable (in comparison to other Japanese nails salons in Manhattan). It's definitely not a walk-in place, so make sure you make your appointments in advance.

My husband and I had an incredible head spa experience with Nadine! I visited this salon last year for a head spa and had a great session, but Nadine truly took it to the next level. She used a special tool to analyze my scalp and hair follicles before or after the treatment, carefully explaining the health of my scalp and walking me through each step of the process. The entire experience was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep! The heated eye mask was an extra special touch that made everything even more soothing. Nadine was incredibly kind and knowledgeable—she recommended the right shampoo for my hair type, and I realized I had been using the wrong one for years. On top of that, she’s also an expert in skincare, and I’m already looking forward to booking my facial appointments with her. Highly recommend for anyone for an exceptional and rejuvenating experience!

I managed to book an appointment for a manicure with gel extensions and a pedi. Sora chan got my nails done and her work is absolutely amazing! Miriam got my pedi service done for me and I truly live her work as well! I'm definitely booking with them next time I'm in NYC 🤍

Nina was great. It was beyond my expectations. The only thing I would love to recommend was the reception upstairs, no the front desk, was loud. I noticed it could be the only for nail salon in the back perhaps. But it would be wonderful if they can lower their voice for the spa vibe. Definitely will come back

I hesitate to share this review because it’s already hard to book with Karina due to popular demand, but I won’t gate keep any longer. I travel from Brooklyn to this spa to see Karina regularly for facials. I also use her products; her skincare line is sold here. She knows exactly how to tailor her services based on what you need. Karina is absolutely fantastic, a true professional, and passionate about beauty! Thank you, Karina!

Have been going to them for mani pedi and facials for quite some time, always on point. Also, scheduling an appointment is relatively easy, esp as their nail department is always busy, they always “squeeze “ me in.

Honestly I have pretty high standards coming from Shanghai… our family traveled to Serbia, Lisbon, Valencia this past summer & I was just not impressed w the level of service in any of the highly rated salons… Yukie Natori salon was the only place in the last 6 months that came close… the staff was super warm & friendly. The place was beautiful & clean. The 2 women doing my mani & pedi were super meticulous & I’m super happy w my experience today! Will def recommend & come back!! (They’re a bit pricey but u get what u pay for…) besides inflation is just redic nowadays. 🤣

I have been coming here over 3 years but the quality has decreased post pandemic. Save your time & money! I had gel extensions with designs. The technician filed all of the nails uneven. Left my thumb lumpy and the other nails thick and very unrealistic looking. Really 90s looking. One of my nails broke while putting on my shirt within one week, the another while showering 2 days later. The top of the nail was wavy (basically the gap from when gel is applied for the extension. $200+ down the drain. Save your money & your time.
