Woodhouse Spa - Metairie

I visit the Woodhouse Spa a week ago for my birthday and the experience was not what I expected. I paid for a deep tissue massage and instead I got a Swedish massage. Here’s my story, we was greeted by a young lady that was very nice, she checked us in and did a walk through with us, I almost tripped over my own feet trying to hear what was being said so I only walked behind them until we got to the locker room. After getting changed I entered a room of peace and serenity but not long after Victor comes in and introduces himself and takes me to a room. He asks a few questions and then gets started. As he get started I proceed to ask one more question and I believe he got frustrated and walked out the room. The GM return to talk to me about the services that’s being provided to me for the most everything she mentioned about the service I did not receive, so after standing outside the room for about 5 minutes then it took Victor and extra 4 to 5 minutes to come back into the room. My massage felt like it was rushed, it was not deep tissue at all and I felt like I was kicked out before my time was up and the time I lost while outside the room talking was not accommodated. The price of a full body deep tissue massage is not worth the price when only 60 percent of your body is having a Swedish massage. Unfair.

These past couple of years I’ve been dealing with spinal issues that radiate into my neck and shoulders, so I decided to seek out a new experience. Walking into this place, I immediately felt Zen, then the associate walked me into the locker rooms and gave me a robe and slippers to Change into. It was special because my locker had my name on it and there’s the seating room which is so calming and serene. As Brittany walked me to my massage room, I was in awe of how big this place actually is. Every detail of this place was professionally done. Very clean and well maintained. I opted for an 80 minute deep tissuemassage as it was necessary for the pain that I’ve been going through and as I walked out of this place, the pain had completely subsided. I was walking tall and able to go home and walk my dog and on the third day, I’m still having some relief. It’s pretty amazing how powerful Brittany‘s hands are. Never underestimate the size of a petite woman! 😉

I booked an appointment for my sister and I to get massages after she had a line placed for a health issue. No one called to tell us they refused to offer services stating “they are not medical professionals”- the doctor said a massage was fine and zero issues as long as avoiding that 3-4 inches of space but the place “has a policy” and “were not comfortable” massaging any part of her body or doing a single thing for her to relax. Literally the only accommodation there would need to make is to avoid that small area. She is in great health otherwise with no issues. This was supposed to be a special restorative day for my sister and I. Also to not tell us ahead of time that they are not willing to avoid that 3-4 inches of space is inexcusable and we are heartbroken. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful experience! I had the head to toe package and it was perfect! Employees are very attentive and will take care of you. Beautiful spa. I left feeling like melted butter. All stress was erased. Treat yourself or a loved one!!

I did not get my full 50 min massage because I got there at my exact appointment time and I was not told to arrive there about 10-15 before to get undressed and everything before the actual service starts, with it being my first time there. But I still tipped and they were very nice and it was relaxing.

The service at this Woodhouse location is absolutely exceptional! I had the pleasure of being assisted by Rasheda (hope I spelled her name correctly), and she was phenomenal. Her warm and engaging personality truly elevated the entire experience. This was my first time trying the wrap, which my husband booked as part of our anniversary celebration, and I couldn’t have been happier. Thank you, Rasheda, for making this such a memorable and enjoyable experience!

My gift for Mother’s Day for my mom made the appointment to this place and as we walk in the place is just beautiful well put together very high end and very welcoming. The fragrance is amazing the staff is welcoming and very nice. This place is amazing beautiful and Ms. Britney was wonderful my mom had an amazing experience. If you are looking for an excellent place to get pampered this is the one. My review is based on my own experience. 😊 they personalized the whole experience. 😁

Make sure you check your credit card statement after your booking if you use a gift card. I had to pay online to book my service, and used a gift certificate in the spa after my service. If I wouldn't have checked my credit card statement, I would have been charged twice. The spa admitted the mistake, however I am sure hundreds of other people that didn't check their credit card statements were charged twice as I would have been. BE CAREFUL at this location!
