Woodhouse Spa - Dublin

I’m submitting reviews for two services. The first being an Illuminate Facial. It is very pricey…but I loved it. It was relaxing and I felt the esthetician knew what she was doing and was also not pushy. I didn’t feel that the service was just one big upsell like many others I’ve had. My skin felt lovely afterwards, so much so that I booked my next facial while I was waiting for my other service. I didn’t feel also appreciate that I received a paper with product recommendations…that did not feel pushy in the least. I actually ordered the two things she recommended. My second appointment was a gel mani. I’ve been getting them on and off for years, and more consistently this past year. The appointment was an hour and a half after my first, but I checked beforehand that I could wait in the quiet room. I came prepared with snacks, noise canceling headphones, and knitting, and it was wonderful. They had neck pillows now which I loved. My tech came to get me early, which was welcomed although I was having fun. Be warned there is no alcohol at the moment, which I knew but is still disappointing at this price point. My nails were unfortunately severely damaged by a new to me spa, so I set the expectation up front I was not looking for a miracle. I asked for something neutral as the nails grow, and she gave me a wonderful recommendation that I would’ve never picked myself. She was gentle with my thin nails, and did a nice job. There was some polish on the cuticles which has started to lift with them growing out, but I should hopefully be able to fix it. I’ve booked a follow up mani.

I recently visited the Woodhouse Spa for a deep tissue massage, and I must say, it was a truly rejuvenating experience. I arrived a bit overwhelmed, as I had intended to be 15 minutes early for my appointment, but due to rain and traffic, I walked in right at the start of my scheduled time. I called ahead to alert the staff, and they were incredibly understanding. What really impressed me was how they were not only accommodating but also awaiting me with warm hospitality as soon as I walked in. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt at ease, and that level of care continued all the way to the moment I left. My massage with Andrew was exceptional. He is incredibly talented, and his deep knowledge of body mechanics allowed him to intuitively adjust the pressure to target the muscle tension I wanted to release. I had come in with the intention of recalibrating and rejuvenating my body, and through a combination of deep breathing and Andrew’s skillful touch, I was able to completely let go of the stress I’d been holding onto. This visit was part of my five-day self-care birthday retreat, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect treatment. The tranquil environment of the Woodhouse Spa made it easy to unwind, and Andrew’s expertise allowed me to truly feel the healing benefits of the massage. I always partake in self-care Sundays, but today’s experience was something extraordinary. I highly recommend the Woodhouse Spa and Andrew for anyone seeking a therapeutic, deeply restorative experience. Their attention to detail and exceptional service made my visit unforgettable.

I’ve always loved this spa for its high-end, luxury vibes—until today. First off, where did the mimosas go?! The joy of arriving early, sipping a drink in the quiet room, and easing into relaxation with a book? Gone. Determined not to let that ruin my mood, I took matters into my own hands and grabbed a pre-massage beverage at Harvest. Unfortunately, that just left me feeling more rushed than relaxed. Then came the massage—or should I say Swedish massage disguised as deep tissue? I made it clear in the consult that I carry stress in my shoulders, neck, face, jaw, and scalp, and while my therapist spent some time in those areas, the pressure barely scratched the surface. There were a few nice techniques, but even after asking for more pressure, my knots remained unbothered. For the price tag, I expect more than just a generic rubdown. To top it all off, when I checked out and (politely) mentioned that the massage felt more Swedish than deep, the employee responded with a casual “got it” and, without missing a beat, immediately asked how much gratuity I wanted to leave. No apology, no concern—just straight to the tip line. Sadly, this once top-tier spot has lost its sparkle for me. I’ll be taking my business to Paloma or Panacea—where deep tissue actually means deep tissue.

I had an appointment on Saturday for my birthday. I was getting an 80 min massage, 80 minute body detox and a facial. 10 minutes into my first service (my massage) the power went out in the whole building. This obviously messes up my whole day and my plans to relax on my birthday. They just sent us all home. You'd think they would call? Apologize? Offer a complimentary service or something. But nope, nothing at all. Not very pleased with how they made it seem like not a big deal. I also requested a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday. The massage therapist told me they are having issues with their liquor license and not sure if they can serve alcohol?

Iona did my manicure for my wedding and she did an AMAZING job!! It felt truly personalized to what I wanted and I highly recommend her to any bride or woman looking for a classic and beautiful set of nails.

Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing and posh nature of this spa. Went with a good friend to get pedicures. Loved that we were served mimosas and that there were light snacks in the lounge. It was super busy the day we were there but the staff made it seamless. Facilities are upscale and clean, comforting and soothing. Will definitely be back.

Josh is the most respectful and well knowledged massage therapist I’ve had the joy of working with! As someone who had a horrific massage elsewhere I communicated this comfortably to him and he delivered. He freed up only the areas he was working on and communicated my troubled spots without me having to state it. He also asked what my comfort level was with pressure and checked in when I tensed without me having to say. He matched my energy effortlessly. He shared his observations of my own body and I left getting more info on my body’s needs. His natural passion for helping people is obvious.

My Aunt and I LOVE the Woodhouse Day Spa! We come for pedicures and the whole experience is so incredibly calming and relaxing. Being in such a busy area you would never know it when you walk in. Calming, not overwhelming scent, water sounds, nice lighting. The staff is always friendly. They offer a robe and slippers and choice of beverage. Wine, champagne, mimosas, water, etc. Wonderful changing area with individual lockers, shower, and any small bathroom items you may need. There is a quiet room where you wait before your service and after to let your nails dry and relax before going out into the busy world . Every time we leave I look forward to going back!
