Woodhouse Spa - Detroit

A messy experience from the start when I attempted booking. Wanted a couple massage which I wasn’t able to book online. After 6+ attempts to call across the span of a week, leaving several VM, finally got a call back about 1 week later only to hear “we’re a bit short staffed sorry”. I also attempted email several times, which didn’t seem to be the correct on me because it wouldn’t even send. Sean returned my call and helped out a lot. Only to be let down at check in with a 15+ minute wait. The lounge room was completely silent, until they realized 10 mins in that they didn’t have music playing. We were asked if we had a preference and responded with female but weren’t able to accommodate. Our massages were supposed to be 80 mins, but were cut short and told it was our fault because we had requested changes the day of service. May I add that we were both told by the therapist that “we will be sure you get the full service . Finally as I was walking out I received an apology stating “I do see now that they rearranged and rebooked things 3 times under your account”. Ultimately, the manager agreed to charge for the 50 min, which is what we received. The massage itself was great, the facial even better. Overall, displeased with the booking process and customer service and will not be returning. Total opposite experience as we’ve had in Indianapolis.

I've used them 5 times and every time, EVERY one I've sent there or invited has thoroughly enjoyed their massage, their experience and the staff. The products are great and the pricing is well worth the service. My most recent (2nd) massage was by a lovely young lady named Maddox who respected my personality type: quiet/tough. My friend talked through her entire hot stone massage and got the 311 on the business, her masseuse, Marcelina, and a little extra! Two totally different experiences that turned out extraordinarily well! I will be returning plus I gift this experience to friends and loved ones.

From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were VIP. Nothing was rushed or pressured. The spa itself is absolutely luxurious beauty, with dark rich wood doors, and antique gold mirror frames, and soft blues and greens in the paintings. I wish I'd taken my phone back there in the peaceful waiting lounge. Really allowed you to relax before and after the massage. Even had free snacks and waters, and you can buy glasses of wine. This would be a great spot for a spa party. The folks working there were all smiles and kindness. Very professional and attentive to your needs and requests. Asia's hands are magic, simple as that. She broke up a knot that has been causing me pain for months. My husband's bliss filled face let me know he loved it too! Thank you Don for that!! It's in a great location too, walking distance to bars and restaurants, hotels and shopping. Excellent customer service, we will return. I highly recommend this spa!

I have an amazing experience at the wood house spa. knowing that it’s black owned made me so excited to invest in it every month on me. they were so professional and respectful most of all made it feel like home. the experience was delightful and a 10 outta 10 would recommend this is my new norm and shout out to dawn who gave me a massage very professional and the young lady who gave me a facial made my face feel very refreshing and smooth. if you goin to go anywhere i recommend coming here. thank y’all so much. truly god bless you all.

I booked an appointment online for my daughter and I. When we got there they found our reservation and then said that there was a mess up when I booked online and they did not have anyone to provide pur service. The check in person acted like it was my fault because I booked online. Said they could book us for the next week, we are from out of state. Did not offer any sort of solutions or even if we could have came back the next week to give us a discount. It ended up coating me $13 in parking, not to mention the gas that I wasted. Not good customer service!

The atmosphere was very nice. The waiting room was a vibe. I would say my experience wasn’t as relaxing as I expected, my massage therapist had her phone on the bed during the massage and it kept vibrating. After this continuous disturbance I noticed she was texting while massaging my feet which resulted in her focusing on my feet extremely longer than the problem area I addressed prior to starting services (my back). After the massage was completed she just left out and I had to figure out my way back to the waiting area without any further word. The front desk hostesses was extremely nice and helpful. With the amount I I’ve spent I expected more. Not sure I’ll be returning.

Had a massage with Dawn. Best massage I’ve ever received in my life. He is super professional, experienced, and passionate about what he does. Not only was the massage amazing, his voice is soothing! Will be back to this location just to experience Dawn and his massages.

My experience today was amazing!! Asia did an awesome job. I immediately felt the difference afterwards, especially in my back. I even appreciate the feedback she gave me regarding my body. Highly recommended!!
