Beautiful, clean facility. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Love the unlimited time for each visit. A lovely place to sauna, relax, read. Wish they offered more gender queer/neutral days as the saunas are gender-separated. Feel like this cuts down on community time as the courtyard is meant to be quiet (unlike others, I like this a lot - but I do want to enjoy the social aspect as well as the contemplative).

I’ve heard great things about this bath house and sauna and I will say it met and exceeded expectations! I took my 7 year old daughter and was blown away by their kindness when I called to ask if there was an age minimum. Not only did they welcome her but she was complimentary which I thought was super generous because she still had access to every accommodation. Professional and warm staff, clean, thoughtful layout. 10/10. Thank you for creating a much needed wellness space in Portland!

I'm on my second season of weekly visits to Washington Baths and it continues to remind me why I love to live in Portland. The sauna never fails to humble me :) Beyond the fact that I've never been to another bathhouse at this price point for unlimited sessions of time, I really appreciate the spirit of this community--watching people interact together or spend time alone in the lounge restores my faith in humanity. The staff are truly gracious and it's always a good sign when people frequent the facility they work at. The physical space is so well cared for and it's clear how much intention goes into each business decision. Thank you, WB!

I have had countless visits to Washington Baths, and they have all been wonderful. Kind and attentive staff, a beautiful contemplative space, wonderful food, and incredible sauna. The hot and cold pools in the courtyard are very special. It is a community hub, and has brought a culture of sauna and public bathing to Maine. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or visiting.

It's a mix. The facility is really well designed. The sauna is lovely and so are the pools. The food is pretty good and...the staff are really unfriendly, dismissive, and snide. I will continue to go, because whoever designed it created a great physical environment and great systems, and because there is no other alternative. I just wish the people working there were a little kinder.

I went for a few hours this afternoon for a silent Friday. The facility was immaculate and very well organized. The food was delicious. I felt rejuvenated after using the sauna, hot and cold tub and relaxing area. While not a huge place, it was definitely big enough for the number of people there. I highly recommend it.

great staff. I love the silent rule. I wish more places exercised similar codes of decorum. seriously, I've witnessed more self awareness on public transit than in many Portland establishments. *I get it- you're on vacation, you're special and have special circumstances. Also understand that it shouldn't be anyone else's problem and recall that you have open modes of communication available to you all day. You can be quiet for a few minutes. You'll survive! + If you don't think so, stay home. No one will miss you.

I like this sauna. It gets wicked hot, and the cold plunges are nice. It’s super clean and the layout looks good. The staff I’ve interacted with this season is much more friendly than last years. It’s a tad woke, but you are in Portland so it’s just the nature of the beast. I like coming here and will continue to do so.
