The Spa at Sun Valley Resort

Sadly this place seems to have gone way down hill. Not sure if there are other spas in sun valley but it would be worth a look. My experience was that everyone seemed really nice and always asked what they could do to help. I have larger feet and the slippers were too small, so I asked if they could find me a larger pair. The staff was really responsive to go look, but came out empty handed with the excuse that people just walk away with them... The other thing I was excited about was the hydration starion that they have a large display in the bathroom about this 4 step process. Since I was skiing and it was super dry out this sounded amazing. Alas, they were out of step 3 the serum. I immediately asked a staff member (oddly I kept seeing this gentlemen in the men's locker room just using the facilities, I would have thought they have their own area). Anyways he immediately found a woman that he brought in and showed what I needed. She nodded and I thought would be immediately back... She never came. I skipped the luxury hydration and left the locker room for a bite to eat. An hour later I checked to see if it was refilled and it still wasn't... One big note to highlight that I thought really strange was that the lady was in the men's locker room multiple times without announcing herself. This of course is odd because men can be naked and this would of course feel like a giant violation. I wondered if men just walk around the ladies locker room too... No idea. My wife's experience was that she signed up for a manicure to remove gel from her nails. When she went to her appointment the scheduler made a mistake and didn't book enough time for the gel. The horrible thing was that the gel removal was confirmed to be in the notes for the appointment. Basically the response from the manager and staff was that she was out of luck. They couldn't do anything but make her come back at a later date. They offered a discount because of the mixup, but honestly too little too late. We come for luxury not a discount. We walked away with an unforgettable experience... Just a poor one.

My recent massage at the Sun Valley Lodge spa was a truly exceptional experience, thanks to Maiya. Her professional demeanor, combined with a friendly and conversational approach, created a relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated that she listened to my specific needs, focusing on my back and hips as requested. As someone who prefers firm pressure, I was thrilled with Maiya's skill – she expertly worked out my tension and left me feeling completely relaxed and pain-free. The spa itself offers excellent amenities, though the steam shower was unfortunately out of order during my visit. However, Maiya's outstanding service more than made up for it. I highly recommend Maiya for anyone seeking a truly therapeutic and relaxing massage at the Sun Valley Lodge spa.

This is a beautiful spa. The pool was closed but looks inviting. I booked a body scrub and massage / reflexology. The massage is equal to a good massage envy massage. Not worth the $200 but you are paying for the amenities which are worth it. The scrub was a huge disappointment. The “ 25” min scrub was 13 min. The therapist skipped my belly and decollate and butt. I asked for more scrub so I could do it myself. The sheets were tucked 6 inches from my personal space. I like a full body massage and scrub. So much was missed. The reflexology was not reflexology at all but a very good foot massage. I will be back for the ambiance and amenities but my husband who has zero training gives a better massage. Maybe I will try a facial next time

I scheduled an appointment with Laura for a basic updo for my wedding. I showed up with my hair curled and the first thing she did was curl it again after she brushed it without asking me what I wanted. I showed her a picture of the very basic updo I wanted for my wedding day (third picture of the blonde wig) and got complete garbage. It looked so bad and I didn’t have time to change it so I asked her to add a braid and wouldn’t let her use hairspray on me. Halfway through my day, I ended up taking out the disaster of an updo and throwing my hair up in a basic clip which looked 10x better than the disaster I have in the majority of my wedding photos. She was friendly so I’ll give two stars but I do not recommend having her do your wedding hair without a $90 trial run.

Still glowing from a magical massage by Molly. I don’t know how she did it: she read my body & massaged me in ways I’ve not experienced before, releasing muscles, toxins, energy & who knows what else. Thanks to her presence & skill, I was able to relax & surrender to the whole experience. Deep knots released. I floated out of the room & now, a day later, feel deeply relaxed & grounded. Molly - you are a gift!

5 stars for the actual massage. They were amazing. We did a couples massage and I had Ben. He worked on things others haven't! He was so good! The husband had a great experience with his as well! The front desk does need a little work. When I booked the appointment it was like booking a massage at the scary place hidden behind mall. No confirmation or reminder or emails or anything. Upon arriving the gal was helpful. We get walked to our looker rooms and there is a robe and shoes waiting for you. Then to the waiting room and then to massage room. It was warm but very inviting. The checkout process was also a little weird but we made it through!

My massage was very disappointing! For 285.00 I feel like calling and telling them!! Very Sad 😞 I even asked the woman over the Spa reservation phone ☎️ who was the person, with strong hands and they led me to a certain individual… I think This person was very tired because I felt like I was being petted and she kept yawning.. she did not listen to what we talked about in the massage room.. ect 🆘

I got my hair dyed today by Ronnie in the Spa and literally best experience I have ever had. I have had a lot of experience with hairdressers and coloring and out of all of them my experience with Ronnie was by far the best. She was very accommodating to my requests and was super sweet. The effort that she put in was very much appreciated and she did absolutely perfect, definitely will be coming back!
