This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian wax done and Opel provided such great care, was able to talk me through the pain and was quick. I was a tad hesitant with the recent ratings but Opel is great! She has such a great personality. Felt comfortable throughout my entire session. I am definitely gonna be coming back. Definitely give her a shot! (:

Amazing Staff. Very friendly. Had my first bikini wax done and Robyn was very kind and efficient. Last weekend she did my makeup and hair as well. A+ on everything. I also would like to thank Michaela for doing my nails - still look great even after being a week old, and going out quite a few times. And thank you to Maddie who did my shampoo/blowout and curled my hair! It all looked fantastic, and I definitely suggest going here. Everyone was super friendly no matter what the service. The only flaw I’ve run into is the pricing - everything is so expensive, unless you’re lucky and run into their monthly specials. Just waiting on that massage special. ;) I would rate 4.5 stars if I could.

I had the same experience the reviewer before me had. I made an appointment, received confirmation requests the day before (which I confirmed) and on the day of my appointment, no one was there. I arrived on time and rang the door bell and knocked a few times. I then waited in my car for 10 minutes to see if someone would eventually come open the door, but no one did. It’s unfortunate because I’m a former client of Opel’s and she really is good at what she does. But I don’t take kindly to my time being wasted. I skipped my lunch so that I can leave work early to make my appointment. I still haven’t heard back from Opel regarding HER no-show.

I called to set up a facial, haircut, and eyebrow appointment in the weeks leading up to out engagement photo shoot. I had planned it out so that I could go directly from the salon, with my freshly cut and styled hair, to the photo shoot. My eyebrows turned out great (thank you, Mandi!) but I was very disappointed that the salon waited to call me until one hour before my haircut was scheduled to let me know that my appointment was cancelled. I then had to scramble (while at work) to find anyone who would take me so last minute. Luckily, Salon Ivy is better versed in customer service and fit me in right away. **I would have given The Skin Bar a much lower rating if it weren't for my excellent experience with Mandi.** She deserves a full 5-star review for going above and beyond, making sure I was comfortable and felt good about the brow plan every step of the way. Like many people who wish to have beautiful bold brows these days, I'm trying to grow them in and am very protective/wary of people who don't listen to what you want and end up severely over-waxing your brows. Mandi listens! She gets it and I am very grateful for her... but unfortunately I can't say the same for the rest of the salon.

Jackie gave me my first lash lift and tint and it was amazing! She was talkative and entertaining as well as professional. I was happier than I thought I would be with the service and she was very knowledgeable about her craft. Stephanie gave my 12 year old a complete transformation. We all remember how it felt rolling back into middle school with a new look and my daughter cannot wait to go show off! She also has a scalp issue and Stephanie was compassionate as well as thorough in helping to care for it. She pointed us in the way of some good products and had a lot of good advice. Really great salon experience!

Opel is TOP NOTCH! She friendly and offered excellent skin care advise and sample moisturizer, did an AWESOME brow wax and even offered to tint my brows free because of the wait. Will DEFINITELY be seeing her again next month when I'm back in town!!!

Opel us the best out there people, there is no other. She cares so much about her work and clients, you leave feeling appreciated and loved. Prices are low and reasonable, feels like you get more then what you paid for. Very clean, more so then other places I've been too. Definitely go, it's a must.

Opel is amazing! I've been with her for almost 10 years!! She makes you feel comfortable and like you are a friend from the very beginning. I recommend everyone to go see her. I've even gone to other girls in her shop that she has trained and they are great too.
