The Nook

It had been a while since I had a facial and on the day of my appointment, I had the start of a cold. Shannah tailored my facial to address my sinuses and lymphatic system to alleviate the pressure. Shannah was so kind and thoughtful during my time with her and offered great advice for a follow-up visit. I have already booked my next appointment!

Booked my wife a 90 minute massage for our 11th anniversary. She said it was the best massage she's ever had. She loved the atmosphere, said the masseuse was excellent and professional, and came back extremely refreshed and relaxed. Absolute 10/10. Will be back again next time we're visiting the Black Hills. Highly recommend!!! Pro Tip: whatever you're planning on tipping, bring extra! It's so good you'll want to tip above and beyond!

I had my first waxing today with Shannah, and it was an amazing experience. She was pleasant and quickly set me at ease. The waxing went well, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I will definitely be returning, and I'm so pleased that such a great local business is here in Rapid City.

The Head and Heart massage with Veronica at the Nook is the best thing since sliced bread. She really pays attention to her work and makes clients feel at ease. She has a calming presence and EXCELLENT technique. It’s been exactly what I needed this Fall. Kudos to this awesome space for rest relaxation and healing!

I have been a customer of the Nook for over four month’s now and I avail myself of several of the services they provide. The Nook is superlative. All of the Ladies I have had the pleasure of interacting with are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and skilled at their craft. The decor and ambiance of the building (or office or facility, none of these terms offer a proper description) is unusually tranquil and relaxed, I always feel at peace when I walk through the front door. Unless I am early the Lady I will be working with is waiting to greet me and is always cheerful and happy (which says a lot about the environment fostered by the owner). I enjoy Kimberly’s pragmatism, forthright sense of humor, and I have yet to have a visit where a few days later something she said doesn’t pop back into my head and I find myself laughing all over again. And I always feel more handsome than I think I am after a visit. Kimberly has earned my respect and admiration. Jill is extraordinary, you know it as soon as she touches you. After my first experience under her hands it was easy to decide to cut expenses in other areas so I could spend more time letting her heal me. I have spent a lifetime overexerting myself and Jill has made it easier for me to walk, reduced the level of pain I feel on a daily basis and generally improved my ability and desire to roll out of bed in the morning. I have met Shannah on several occasions and while I haven’t had an opportunity to work with her I have no doubt her skills are as outstanding as Kimberly’s and Jills’s. And she has the same charm and grace. So. If you wish to be treated as an individual who matters and work with people who care about what they do, the Nook is the place to be and worth every penny. And then some.

Jill was absolutely amazing! The massage was so relaxing and comfortable. She did such a great job and is so talented! I highly recommend getting a full body massage! Thank you SO much, Jill! I will be back soon!

The Nook is a cute environment with friendly staff. Jill was kind, knowledgeable, and listened to my concerns. However, I was hoping for more of a spa like massage for the integrative massage since I don’t normally do a fancier one. Online it says “aromatic steamy towels” will be used for optimal muscle relaxation which I was really excited about, but we’re not included in my massage. Only normal oil was used with no fragrance.

The Nook consistently provides the highest quality experience for any of their services. I have been getting waxed for 6+ years now and they are at the top of my list of great places to go to. I tried 3 other places in the area, and this one remains the best around town. I am from out of town and only lived in the area for ~6 months, but every single time I came in for a wax I was met with kindness, warmth, amazing service, consideration, flexibility with scheduling, and transparency the whole time. I often got Brazilian waxed along with my legs and eyebrows. Considering that getting waxed can be an uncomfortable and vulnerable experience, especially with someone new, I was made to feel comfortable and given plenty opportunities to adjust how fast the session went and take breathers in between large wax sections. I can't speak highly enough of this place. If you are looking to get waxed or have any of their other services, they are beyond excellent on their cleanliness, service, and capabilities and I sincerely doubt you will be left unsatisfied. I especially want to thank Shannah who made me feel so welcomed and comfortable every single time I came in for an appointment. I'm going to miss this little spot! It was amazing every single time!
