The Modern Halo

IT WAS TRULY HEAVENLY!!! I had my first head spa appointment with Jay today & she was AMAZING!! She was so attentive to me during the massage and checked in with me on pressure and water temperatures which I appreciated so much. I originally booked the appointment for a signature massage but she let me know that I would get a longer massage with the Heavenly so she let me switch services after she already got started. I forgot to catch the name of the girl at the receptions desk but she was just so warm & welcoming the minute I arrived. Everything from beginning to end was top notch service and I can’t wait to book another appointment with Jay! Thank you for being the cherry on top of my birthday weekend and thank y’all for sharing my little emotional moment with me at check out haha Modern Halo Memorial does not disappoint!! 💗

This was a beautiful headspa and blow dry bar in the Memorial area. My daughter has a bi-weekly appointment with Kita. She has very curly thick hair. And Kita is a wiz with her hair. My service was amazing with Lily. She really has magic fingers. My blowout with Flor was beautiful. I highly recommend the the platinum with a blowout for the ultimate self care day.

The Modern Halo head spa experience is awesome. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calming and indulgent. The treatments are next level—completely relaxing and rejuvenating. Every detail, from the soothing scalp massage to the blowout. It’s easily become my favorite thing to do for self-care, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Modern Halo was a hit for us! The salon was clean, the staff were incredibly sweet and the service was amazing. The head spa was nice and relaxing - it almost put us to sleep. My daughter loved the whole experience so much. Would definitely return & recommend!

Today I visited the Modern Halo at Memorial City. It was pure professionalism from the moment I reached out. My phone call was returned immediately and an appointment was given at the exact time I requested. Clair was my Halo technician She was very  pleasant and had some skilled, massaging strong hands. She even ask me if I perfered more or less pressure. The hot stone massage was fabulous I highly  recommend  Clair. Products used in the scalp spa were of superior performance and smelled lovely. I had my hair styled by Flor. She styled  my hair exactly as I ask. Flor was friendly, meticulous and precise with every curl. No services were rushed.The atmosphere in the spa was very welcoming and private I highly recommend The Modern Halo 😇

Just had the Heavenly Halo + blowout with Jayla, and it was absolutely amazing! The whole space is so relaxing and beautiful, and every second of the service was just perfect - exactly what I needed to relieve a lot of neck tension after a long and stressful week! Everyone was so sweet as well, and my hair looks, smells, and feels amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I am incredibly disappointed in this establishment. I called months ago to schedule services for myself, my husband, and a friend visiting from out of town. My friend is black and has dreds, so when I called to make the appointment, I was clear in asking if she could get her hair done. Not only was I assured that she could, but I was told specifically that a “black hair specialist” would be booked for her. I called to confirm the appointment 3x. I was also reached out by the Modern Halo multiple times to confirm the appointment. However, when my party of three arrived, they only took back my husband. Then, 10 minutes later, they come to my friend and I to tell us that they won’t be able to do my friends hair, as they’re pushing for me to go to my appointment without her. I told them I wasn’t comfortable getting my hair done without my friend; and although they were hesitant, they allowed it. They then went on to explain that an employee messed up, and they didn’t have anyone that catered to black hair. They offered no other explanation. According to the receptionist, she tried to call each manager and each of the managers declined her calls. All this is happening when they already pulled my husband back. Why would an establishment with a party of three knowingly take back one member, and usher the second member to leave the third? Additionally, why are none of the employees trained to work with black hair? Finally, what slipped through the cracks that over 5 confirmations missed out on? This salon is a luxury experience, and we were not treated as such. What a shame.
