The Fountain Spa (Day Spa Ramsey, NJ)

My girlfriend loves this place. It's a full service spa and meant to be an experience. The amenities are great. Showers and steam rooms well stocked. No need to bring cologne, toothbrush or comb. Staff are respectful and friendly. Observing allergies and medical conditions are top on their priorities list. For me it's very expensive but was nice to experience at least once. A little tip....if you use Waze it took me to a large parking lot and entrance to a gym run by Fountain Drive around leftnside of building but be careful since you have to ignore a One Way sign. The opposite side of the building near the front is the Fountain Spa entrance.

A very nice spa experience. The ladies that greet me and get me my robe and locker are always very friendly. Steam room always has space available to sit and relax before my massage. Massage rooms are always clean and you are offered aromatherapy, which is a nice added perk. The tranquility room is a nice added touch. And all massage therapists I have had so far are very kind and attentive. I highly recommend!!!

This was my first visit to The Fountain for a pedicure with Christine. I absolutely love her! She is very professional, made me feel very comfortable, was very personable, and did an amazing job. I will definitely be back and request her!! Since it was my first time, one of the managers Dawn gave me a tour of the facility. It is so beautiful. She was very informative and nice. I kept running into Diana during my stay, a member of the hospitality team and she was just such a sweet woman. I recommend this establishment.

The massage was very relaxing and enjoyable as always. I have been coming here for many years myself and I am always excited to pass along a gift certificate for their services. I was the recipient of a hot stone massage gift certificate for my birthday back in October. I finally had time to enjoy it yesterday and it was very relaxing. The issue that I had was on checkout . My gratuity was included so I’m thinking it was just a formality to checkout but I was told they raised their prices and I need to pay an added surcharge of $37 . This was absolutely appalling to me as I have never heard that before . I could possibly understand if the gift certificate was over a year old but it wasn’t. The woman at the desk said this was a recent update and she wasn’t pleased with it either. I went on to Facebook and saw that this same bait and switch tactic was used a couple months ago on an unsuspecting woman. As I mentioned , I’ve been coming here since the Ramsey Location opened and with this practice in place, I can’t imaging all the unsuspecting patrons who were given gift certificates for the holidays. Buyer beware and I will no longer visit this establishment because of how ashamed I felt and how I was taken advantage. The employees are top notch but as a business owner , I’m sorry , a reprehensible way to do business.

I recently hosted my sisters 30th birthday and rented the private room at The Fountain Spa -- also known as a Pod Party. Everything from start to finish was top notch. The room that we had was great, the massages and facials we all received were beyond relaxing, and the service from everyone we encountered was top notch. I was able to bring in my own food and decorations which helped to personalize the room and make the day that much more special for the birthday girl. The Fountain provided us with coffee, tea, OJ (for mimosas), water (still and sparkling) and paper products. All in all it was the perfect girls day to celebrate a special day!

Booked an appt for my boyfriend and I for the couples massage and whirlpool! Best decision ever- the staff were friendly and helpful, private whirlpool was so romantic unfortunately we didn’t get our massages together as stated in the special only complaint. We will definitely be back for another romantic spa day

Not sure you can call this place a spa. They did not honor a gift card service after they raised prices one month before Christmas?! So my gift card was for a SERVICE and they wanted me to pay the difference. What kind of company does that?! AWFUL business practice! No clue how they stay in business. Aside from the fact that the place is run down. The speakers were blown in the massage room. The entire place looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 90s. If the “manager” at the front desk had any interest in taking care of the customer, I would’ve let the problem with the aesthetics go. But she literally did NOTHING to rectify your ridiculous cost increase. Update to review: A supervisor contacted me after posting this review and rectified the situation by sending me a new gift card for the full price of the precious card. The supervisor assured me that she would follow up on the complaints I listed to better serve the customer in the future. I am thankful for the supervisor for making things right. I should’ve asked for a supervisor while visiting, and I wish I had.

Amazing Spa! Me and my girlfriend especially enjoyed the couples massage and private whirlpools. They also have a tranquility room which is so peaceful and relaxing between appointments. Highly recommended.
