Spa at the Shoals

I absolutely love this spa! I’ve visited the Spa at Muscle Shoals over half a dozen times and my favorite masseuse is Layla This spa is an oasis and a perfect getaway weekend if you live in northern Alabama or southern Tennessee. Let the gang play golf while you enjoy the spa. They have a whirlpool hot tub, lots of varieties of treatments too - stone, Swedish, manicures, pedicures and much much more! I think they are even offering couples massages now too ❤️🧘‍♀️

Part 1...I have attempted to speak with a manager every day since my visit to the spa last Friday (8/8/23), & unfortunately my attempts have been unsuccessful. After traveling 8 hours my husband & I arrived to the Marriott Shoals around 5pm on Friday. I immediately walked to the spa hoping for an available appointment for a manicure & pedicure to have fresh nails for a wedding we were attending the next day. I was delighted when the very friendly receptionist did tell me there was availability at 7pm for an express manicure & pedicure. I proceeded up to our room to unpack & relax before my appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early, as instructed by the receptionist. Soon after I was instructed to make my way to the back for my upcoming service. When I sat in the pedicure chair the lady performing my service instructed me to begin soaking my feet. I did. About 5 minutes after soaking, she began to get her supplies. I noticed she did not have any tools to removed the gel toenail polish I currently had on, so I told her my polish was gel. She said that unfortunately I was not scheduled to have my gel polish removed, so I would only be able to receive the manicure or pedicure, but not both. She explained when I scheduled my appointment the receptionist should have asked if I had gel polish because the spa policy is to have a soak-off period prior to my service, which the receptionist did not do. Even though I was the last appointment for the day I told her I understood, but explained I had just traveled 8 hours & desperately needed to at least have my fingernails & toenails painted. She told me she would do what she could in the time allotted for my appointment. After attempting to gently file my toenail polish off unsuccessfully I told her to just paint over the polish that was left with regular polish, because again she made me feel there would not be enough time to do gel on my toes & fingers.

Marsha has healing hands. For the first time in 11 years my knees didn't hurt. I'm going to go back as soon as possible. The spa is awesome!!!❤️💯

Got a deep tissue massage that was honestly amazing! I needed some more therapeutic style deep tissue massage and Tara really listened to my problem areas and focused so much on helping me and she gave me some good exercises for TMJ to release some pressure in my jaw as well for the future. They also have a lovely seating area, sauna, and a hot tub that I didn't get there early enough to enjoy - next time!

To say that this was a magical experience doesn't even begin to explain this spa. From the front desk employees to the massage therapist, everything was phenomenal. I will be back and I recommend this place for anyone who needs a temporary pause on life.

I have stayed at the Marriott Shoals Resort several times and this trip my husband treated me to a massage. Everyone was so friendly and Megan did an incredible job. She first asked me what I wanted and about any trouble areas I had. She spent the entire time making sure I was comfortable and working on the problem areas. Definitely recommend!!

This was my first experience at a spa and I was very pleased and I will definitely be back again. It is a very nice facility. It is separated for women on one side and men on the other. They offer all sorts of services. I enjoyed the steam room. I hate that the hot tub was out of order hopefully next time they will have it fixed.

I went twice in 2 weeks, once for a massage and the other for a pedicure. Both were absolutely wonderful! The facility is very relaxing and the staff ig's fantastic!
