Skincare Spa by Pilar

Only giving a 1 star because of the customer service and lack of communication. I booked a facial and laser hair removals. I advanced paid for the laser treatments because you got a better deal that way. I received the facial and first round of laser treatment. The first round of laser almost didn’t happen because Pillar said the “solution” or something that is used in the machine was almost out, but there was just enough for one more treatment. Then made a 2nd appointment for laser removal 6 weeks out. 2nd appointment came and as I was on the way to the appointment someone called and canceled my appointment because the machine was out of “solution”. They said they would call me back to schedule another time. Never received a call back. I called to make an appointment and they couldn’t get me in till 2 weeks out. To remind you I have already waited 6 weeks. So I asked for a refund for the 3 treatments that I had not received yet. They said Pillar would call me back. Again, I received no call for a week so I texted Pillar. She finally gave me a call and was very combative about me asking for a refund after explaining why I wanted one. She agreed to the refund and said I would receive a check. A few weeks later I received a refund statement for the amount of $300 but no check. I waited another week and nothing, so I texted again and she said she would send the check. About a week later I received a check for $100. So again I had to reach out by text and ask for the full amount. A check was finally sent for the remaining $200. All of this could have been avoided with better communication. I was planning on spending a lot of money at this establishment.

jenny was amazing!! got me back immediately and took her time doing the facial, it didn’t feel rushed. edit: Also, got a chemical peel recently by Pilar and the results were breathtaking

I've had 2 SQT bioneedling facials by Pilar. OMG..talk about a huge difference in your skin. But the real testimony is when your friend says 'what are you doing with your skin? It looks amazing ' Looking forward to my next facial with Pilar!

I had another facial with Lara Lei today and once again she did not disappoint. She is extremely personable and easy to talk to, she addressed my concerns taking into account the products I already use and like, and recommending new things, without pushing. She is very knowledgeable about all things skin care and each time I learn about a new product or innovation in skin care. She is also very polite and professional and I completely trust her with my face. My skin feels great!

I went to two different dermatologists to take care of my skin issues. But they didn't want to treat me because of possible discoloration on my very bronzed skin. After my two last pregnancies my face bloomed with Keratosis and skin tags. They were all over my face and neck and super itchy. More than 10yrs dealing with Keratosis and tags and I was feeling bummed and unattractive. When I met Pilar she was so professional and confident on treating my skin. I didn't hesitate and trusted her. One week and a half later and is like I never had anything in my face! I'm totally healed and no discoloration at all!!! I will recommend Pilar and her experienced hands to anyone who needs expertise care with their skin!

The saying goes that “if something sounds too good to be true, then it, probably, is (too good to be true).” Well, ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you to the exception to that rule: Skincare Spa by Pilar (Crestwood, KY). A few year back, my hormones went haywire and, consequently, my face became covered with cystic acne. When my pimples went away, I was left with dry, discolored, less firm skin, with craters that made my facial skin resemble the surface of the moon. My dermatologist recommended micro-needling, to improve my skin’s texture. Unfortunately, a lot of places charge $300 per session — and it takes, around, three sessions to begin to see improvement. Then, I found Pilar, read her reviews and capitalized on one of her special promo packages — a bundle of six sessions for $600! I (and others) noticed my face’s improvement, after one session. I just finished my last round from the package and, now, I have to tilt my head at certain angles, in certain lighting to see a trace of what my acne had done to me, whereas before, my craters were obvious, right off-the-bat! Pilar helped to bring my skin and confidence back, without breaking my bank!

As a teenager, I was nervous to have my first acne facial. However, after my experience with Pilar I will 100% come back and I recommend her greatly.

Had my eyebrows tattooed. They came out great. I highly recommend this lovely place off the beaten path.
