Sarang Head Spa

This is my review a few days after visiting Sarang Head Spa. Sonia is not only warm and kind but also incredibly intelligent and passionate. She even traveled to Korea to study at the top head spa academy, demonstrating her dedication to her craft. As someone in my 40s, I’ve struggled with flat roots and a lack of volume, as well as hair that tangles easily after washing and brushing. After my visit to the spa, my roots feel so much healthier and full of volume, and my hair is now smooth and easy to brush after shampooing. What impressed me the most were the amazing products used during the treatment. I wanted to purchase them immediately, but unfortunately, they aren’t available for sale yet. However, Sonia mentioned they’ll be available soon, and I highly recommend purchasing them based on her recommendations once they are! Oh, and the spa itself is so cozy, clean, and beautifully designed – it’s the perfect spot for taking photos, too. Every corner of the space reflects her care and love, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience.

I rarely ever leave reviews for spas, but Sarang Head Spa is truly a gem in Philly! Sonia (the founder) spent years practicing the medical aspect and skillset to be a hair spa specialist. I can tell immediately when entering her spa, she has put her passion to help her clients feel amazing after they leave rather than to only provide a serivce. At first, I knew very little about the health of my scalp or what type of shampoo I should use. I learned all those tips and tricks on how to maintain a healthy scalp after one session! Her prices are extermely reasonable and you will have the most relaxed ASMR experience. I think a fell asleep twice within an hour. She is very calming and accommodating to you as well. First, she will help you pick the best treatment according to your concerns and the state of your scalp. Then you’ll relax on the soft head spa bed and get a massage and lots of different techniques to help stimulate the circulation of your head. She has a head steamer as well to help you relax and exfoliate the dead skin of your scalp. Lastly, she blow dried my hair for me!! Again, I was truly PAMPERED❤️ For two days straight, my hair felt so silky and I haven't had this feeling in forever. My husband got the treatment as well and it was such a nice treat for him because he was able to relax. I would highly recommend if you're looking for spa treatment of your life!! BOOK HERE NOW. I absolutely loved my time here. Sonia has such a kind spirit which put me at ease right away because I was very hesitant due to me having curly hair. Sonia was very knowledgeable about the scalp while also maintaining curiosity and open mindedness while working with a hair texture very different from some Asian hair textures. I highly recommend going there for a great head spa experience. I do recommend that if you have curly hair you may want to bring your styling products because she does only offer a light blow drying. If you don’t want to have your hair blow dried she offers you a hair cap to go home in. Overall a great experience. I will be back.

Sarang Head Spa is a hidden gem in Fishtown! My head spa treatment was incredibly relaxing and left my scalp and hair feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. From the moment I walked in, the soothing scent and Sonia’s warm welcome set the tone for an amazing experience. The intimate environment, personalized care, and detailed explanation of the Korean products made everything feel luxurious. The scalp massage, mini facial, and much-needed hand mask were pure bliss, and the shampoo sample was a thoughtful touch. I felt completely relaxed and cared for the entire time. Sonia is an absolute doll and very passionate about hair care, especially hair loss. It was my first time at a head spa and it was an amazing experience. Sonia took the time to listen to my hair concerns and educated me on what steps to take to improve it. She imports only the best hair products from Korea and is dedicated to her craft.
