I have been a client of Salon X and Margot specifically for about 6 months now and my hair has never looked so good! Margot, the owner, is exceptionally talented at both haircuts and hair color (for reference, I have very thick, curly red hair). The salon itself is welcoming and tastefully designed. I just have to give Margot and Salon X another 5 star review. I’d never experienced such a profound level of trust in a stylist before meeting her. In the past, I’d get my haircut once every two years. Since my first haircut with Margot, I’ve stayed on a consistent schedule of 8 weeks. I didn’t realize that my hair could look this good - and that confidence is, frankly, priceless. The salon design is beautiful, luxurious, and always spotless. They’re well stocked with high end hair products. I look forward to the actual appointment: the wash, the cut, the blow dry. I feel absolutely pampered each time. And Margot herself is very smart and quite witty; we have a very fun rapport which just adds to the ambiance. Pricing is quite good as well, competitive with other high end salons in the area. Truly, I can’t recommend Salon X enough (and I recommend it often!) Do yourself a favor and book your next service with Margot at Salon X. Thank me later 💗

Both Margot and Brooke are excellent and talented stylists and colorists. I have been working with this salon for many years and have always had a great experience here. Not sure if they are taking new clients at this point. Love the Kevin Murphy product line as well

Margot it by far one of the absolute best hair dressers and I am SO unbelievably thankful I found her!! I moved to taos 10 years ago from New York and haven’t found anymore here I fully trust that can do what I ask for. Margot had great reviews and very reasonable prices to I gave her a shot. GOSH!! I truly cannot say enough - I got a cut and color - right from the beginning she was so welcoming and sweet - she listened to what I asked for - I was blown away - the cut and color were absolutely amazing!! I’ve never left a salon fully happy with my hair - I usually always run home and style it myself - I left feeling like a queen / it’s been a year now since I’ve been seeing margot and all I have to say is you won’t regret it - I get so many compliments on my hair!! Her highlights are gorgeous and natural! She’s also always accommodating - whenever I want to see her sooner she does her best to get me in and she always does. She’s spunky, authentic, sweet, and undoubtedly so very talented. So thankful to have her as my hair dressers. It’s not easy to find someone you can fully trust and I’m thankful to have found her! I moved from the DFW area to Angel Fire New Mexico. I looked up a salon bc I was a brunette but I was previously blonde for several years. I wanted to go back blonde and Margot didn’t disappoint she specializes in blondes and has done a fantastic job. She also listens to your needs and concerns. I was scheduled for an appointment on 2/20/25 which I had to wait fir 3 weeks on a waiting list. On the morning of 2/20/25, I was notified by text that my appointment was canceled due to family issue and would have to be rescheduled. Appointment was rescheduled for 2/23/25 at 11am. Once again, I received a text the morning of my appointment stating it would have to be rescheduled again due to an allergy problem. Obviously this salon is not one you can rely on.
