The Well Giving Corner C Tolbert LMT

Owner is aloof and hard to communicate with. Toilet sewage smell reeks through hallways at times. Essential oils say “Do Not Inhale” and have a million chemicals in them, Owner “forgot” to pay her employees on time and laughed and giggled her way through passing them out late. Owner over books herself while her other beauticians get scrap clients. She may just need to let it go. Very out of touch. She had 2 massage therapist but would only book the therapist who was not brown. Do not recommend for a beautician, massage therapist, client, or otherwise. Save ya coin and go elsewhere.

My hair is completely jacked. The cut is a layered shelf of hair. The color is complete opposite of what I requested and faded by ½ with the first wash. The stylist can't explain how he plans to fix it AND I paid over $900! We'll see what the owner says....

Today was my first time at Salon Ami Day Spa and let me tell you they are amazing! They offer water and have a wide selection of product. I had a photo ready and a back up photo of what I was alright with as well just in case the first one was a no-go. They cut my hair as a cross between the photo I showed and my natural hair type. Gave a light scalp massage while shampooing and conditioning, it was so good I almost dozed off. They didn't tug at my hair aggressively or seem perturbed by my fashion choice either. My stylist was sweet as can be too. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Very clean and organized salon! Staff are all very friendly and patient with customers. I was pleased with my haircut! The prices are higher than common chain hair salons, but it's for a reason. You get quality! I trust them with my hair! They listened to what I wanted and checked in on his I felt about it along the way. Will return!

Dawn just helped me with a gift card for my mom's hair services. She is fantastic!!!! I am from St. Louis, and I've lived in Miami area, and now Seattle for a long while, and really miss the Midwest charm of true customer service. Dawn was on her game and uber sweet, beyond helpful....I can see why my momma loves this salon. And when I saw my sweet Mom in Aug. 2022, her hair looked fabulous!!! Did I mention I'm a career hairstylist with my own business? This is what I do everyday, so I really appreciated the cross state help for my Momma! Thank you all!

I won’t be back. I liked the lees summit location but it closed. They forwarded that number to their independence location and didn’t say anything so I showed up to an empty building. I told them when I got there and they just said “it happens sometimes”. It wouldn’t happen if the number was cancelled vs forwarded. The hair stylist wanted to passive aggressively share the style I wanted people say they want but then don’t so she tried to talk me into something different not realizing I’ve had it before. I appreciated her opinion but she wouldn’t let it go and then didn’t have any casual conversation while cutting my hair. It was literally silent the whole time. After doing my style in a way I didn’t want she asked me at the end if I still wanted what I originally asked for and I said yes. After finally doing what I asked it was slightly uneven and she proceeded to tell me my hair was thin on top and she will need to use non cut bangs. With the rest of the experience it felt more like a dig at me over advising. Overall I won’t be back. Haircut was generic and service/experience was poor. I expected better from an Aveda salon.
