I have been searching for a new stylist and a friend recommended Rodrigo at Saint Germain. The salon is clean, bright and beautiful with comfortable chairs and a massaging recliner at the washing station.
I met Rodrigo and knew I was in good hands. He recently moved to DC from New York and seemed confident and knowledgeable. In addition, he is was so personable and fun to chat with during my appointment.
Rodrigo suggested a plan to correct the color in my hair. He first lightened some areas then applied a color to match my natural brown. My hair color hasn’t looked more natural in years.
I have wavy, frizzy hair and Rodrigo gave me the best blowout of my life. My hair was voluminous, shiny, bouncy and smooth. With my wave and frizz, I never had a blowout last without using a flat iron until now. I want him to blow dry my hair every day.
Rodrigo suggested products I can use at home which have made a huge difference in my hair’s shine, frizz and feeling.
I have had multiple people tell me my hair has never looked better and won’t go anywhere else but to Rodrigo from now on.

Love the place, love the decor, the staff is helpful, cheerful and kind. And very accommodating/flexible when one has the schedule from hell like I have! am so happy I found this salon. Been there three times already. Absolutely worth the expense.

I love this salon.
I have gotten my hair cut by Franck twice and he has done an amazing job both times. He is so wonderful and skilled.
Rodrigo is new to the salon and has 20+ years of experience doing hair. He recently corrected a color mishap that happened, which required complex darkening, lifting, and toning. He was patient, knew exactly what could be done while considering the integrity of my hair, and did the best job I could have imagined. He also cuts hair but I didn’t need a cut when I saw him. His understanding of color is phenomenal. True artist.

Drew gave me a toner and gloss at one point and she did a fantastic job. I highly recommend her as well.
Everyone at the salon is wonderful. The staff are super responsive and great. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This salon was recommended by two friends who always have amazing hair, so I decided to try it out. I’ve never loved any of the other haircuts I’ve gotten in DC, but I absolutely loved this cut! I will definitely be back, Max did a great job and spent so much time on my hair and paid great attention to detail. I could not be happier and know I found my new hair guy!

I’ve been going to Saint Germaine for many years, but unfortunately the service is not what it used to be. The hair color was a big miss but I was also very annoyed that halfway through my appointment I was informed Terri could not be available to cut my hair bc she was not feeling well and leaving early. This is totally understandable except that this has happed several times before. The other times Terri cancels the day off the appointment so at least I have the option to move my appointment. The hair colorist was very nice but pulled my hair a lot, even after mentioning to him a couple of times that he was pulling too hard. I could have returned to fix it but decided to go somewhere else and give another place a try. The services price point is very high and really don’t think it matches the experience. So long St Germane.
Addition: Thank you for responding St. Germaine. However, the only option that was provided was for the colorists to cut and blowdry my hair thus the reason I was upset. You are correct that I opted to only color and cancel the hair cut and blowdry. As I had mentioned before, he was way too rough with my hair so I just couldn’t continue.
