Mountain Top Resort Spa & Salon

I have had a lot of facials in my life but Melanie gave me the best one ever! I usually don't like having my feet touched at all but she did such a nice job of making it not ticklish or painful. Kudos! Ask for Melanie!

I recently stayed 3 days as mother of the bride. My room was on the lowest level and very damp. We got no welcome bag at checkin tho my daughter had made them for every guest. There was no full length mirror in the room and lighting was terrible for getting ready. The air conditioner could not cool our room or remove the huge amount of humidity. I could not stop sweating to dress for events and ruined many outfits. The wifi and networks did not work so we could not bring up the itinerary to know where to be when. The shades were down all day but they didn't reach the bottom of the glass windows so, from our bathroom, people sitting behind the building looking out at the view got more of one than they expected. Our toilet was right in the center of the window. I should have asked those guests how my dress looked since I didn't have a mirror. Don't sit in the back of the shuttles. They drive very fast on the bumpy, dirt roads and your lunch will come back up and you'll get bruised. The Breakfast buffet was empty when I went to breakfast at the restaurant so they brought out a replacement frittata that was not cooked and unedible to have something on the buffet table. The one bar at our 114 guest cocktail hour had a line for the entire hour. Once we got to the reception, then they had a sign explaining drink choices. The food at the reception and rehearsal dinner was fantastic and the water in the lake was clear enough to see the bottom. The view is beautiful. This place seems built and maintained for outdoor vacationing but it is missing some things for weddings. Unfortunately, in 3 days we met people atending 5 different weddings there so I would think these things would have been addressed by now.

Friendly staff and beautiful views. Hotel was being updated- some areas were an active construction site.
