I’ve been searching for a massage place as comfortable as the ones back home for years. With my busy daily schedule, I often experience neck and shoulder discomfort, and after long drives, lower back pain becomes an issue. However, living in a small town with limited resources, I struggled to find the right massage therapy.
I tried chiropractic adjustments from American doctors (which helped relieve my back pain significantly, but the sessions were quick with no muscle relaxation involved). I also tried massages from American therapists, which felt nice at the moment but didn’t have lasting effects—plus, $150 for a one-hour session wasn’t exactly affordable.
Last week, a good friend recommended Lux Massage & Spa, and I immediately found time to give it a try. After an hour-long session today, my only thought is: I want to come here every week! I used to prefer therapists with strong pressure, so I told my massage therapist to go all in. But wow, I was in for a surprise—the therapist only applied light pressure suitable for first-time clients, and I was already sweating from the intensity! Years of neglecting my body had taken a toll, and every time they hit a key pressure point, the pain made me want to kick someone.
The best part? I could already identify some of my problem areas, and the therapist could feel them too. Throughout the session, as they worked on my acupoints and meridians, I could really feel the difference.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing Swiss Long Stroke massage!
I just had the most relaxing and soothing 90-minute Swiss Long Stroke massage, and I already can’t wait to come back! The whole experience was beyond my expectations.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was calm and welcoming, with soft lighting and a subtle aroma of essential oils that instantly put me at ease. My therapist was incredibly professional, checking in on my comfort level and making sure the pressure was just right. The long, flowing strokes melted away all the built-up tension in my body, and the aromatic essential oils added an extra layer of relaxation—it felt like my stress was dissolving with every movement.
Unlike deep tissue massages that can sometimes be too intense, this one was gentle yet effective, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and truly relax. By the end of the session, I felt light, refreshed, and completely stress-free.
If you’re looking for a place to escape from the daily hustle and reset your body and mind, I highly recommend booking a Swiss Long Stroke massage here! Can’t wait for my next visit.

The massage was great! The only kickback they kept asking repeatedly for the cash upfront.Don't accept card
The ATM inside didn't work, I had to go to a nearby ATM and return. The staff was nice. I received an hour massage($100) with hot stones, which was an additional $20.

OMG, if you're cruising around Washington, DC, near the White House, you simply must swing by Lux Massage & Spa Washington. I popped in last week after a hectic run of classes and gigs, and I was totally blown away by this spot. This isn’t your typical massage joint; they specialize in pure green massage, which means all their products are eco-friendly, natural, and completely sustainable. I’m all about that green vibe, and this place seriously delivered.
The vibe inside was super chill and modern—sleek design mixed with nature-inspired touches, like plenty of indoor plants and earthy decor that instantly relaxed me. The staff were young, friendly, and down-to-earth. They greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. I booked a session to work out some major neck and shoulder tension from endless study sessions and the daily grind. My therapist took the time to hear me out and crafted a session that zeroed in on my tight spots.
The highlight of my visit was when my therapist used an amazing blend of organic essential oils that felt like a burst of nature’s goodness on my skin. I could literally feel the tension melting away as she worked her magic on my muscles. It was like hitting a reset button for my body and mind, and I left feeling totally recharged.
For any fellow young professionals or students looking for a sustainable, refreshing escape in DC, Lux Massage & Spa Washington is where it’s at. Trust me – once you try their green massage, you'll be hooked!
I left feeling like I had discovered my new go-to spot for a greener, healthier lifestyle. I'll be back soon! Highly recommended, check it out!

I am traveling to DC for a conference and I was so exhausted and tired after the long day of work. So I searched on Google to find a professional massage place to relax, and by chance I found this place. I called them at 9pm, and was told that I could do a walk-in. That was very helpful and impressive. Kelly was the staff on the call and she sent me detailed information about price and locations of their place. I thought I would get there in about ten minutes. But due to road closures, I was only able to get there by 9:49. She and her colleagues still received me very friendly. She gave me the 60 minutes massage, but actually she offered extra 20 minutes since I told her that I have headaches and often time could not gain enough sleep and work on computer. She added that extra time without extra charge, and it was also way pass her work time. She was very professional and the massage was so good. I paid with card with tips but the tips did not go through since it was after 11:30pm. I did not have much cash with me. And she told me that she appreciated my gesture and she was happy that the message was helpful and relaxing.
I left with so much appreciation and relaxation. The environment and atmosphere there is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place and Kelly!

This was my first time visiting this place - I paid for a Swedish massage; after the massage was over, the masseuse tried to pressure me into tipping more as a couple entered for their massage. This left a bad taste in my mouth because $150 is a lot to begin with. I would contemplate returning but I felt very uncomfortable.
Editing my response to follow up: Tip or not, I still paid the full amount and deserved to be treated with respect. I did tip $10 but the masseuses pressured me into tipping more. Tips are not an entitlement.
