The best head spa experience I have ever had. Hands down. Imagine that 1 minute scalp massage you get when your hairdresser is washing your hair, and multiply that by 100! Add on an incredibly relaxing, warm and inviting environment, cozy blankets, a face steamer and then an incredible head massage. I would have fallen asleep except I couldn't stop thinking of all my friends and family who I wanted to gift this experience to. Such a unique gift to give anyone! Amanda is incredible at everything she does, including hair cut and color. I've trusted my hair in her hands, no questions ask and I go with whatever she recommends. Which says a lot as I have super fine hair and postpartum hair loss - but she always finds a way to make it look amazing. I'd travel from Burlington for her even though I'm sure there are great folks in town, but she's 10/10 worth it. You won't find a more warm and welcoming human who has endless talents and is basically a therapist on the side ;)

I forgot I was getting a haircut! Lumiere's services are more layered than a standard haircut, they're transformative - rooted in energy, release, and relaxation. I booked the Crown Ceremony and luxuriated in the head and shoulders massage while being guided through deep breathing. Amanda's connection is incredible! She picked up on so many elements of my life. At the end of my service, I felt cared for, lighter, and I walked out with an amazing haircut! Amanda identified that I prefer a low-maintenance style but suggested some simple layers that enhance the look while still being easy.

Amanda treated me to an illuminance ceremony at the head spa, and it was truly one of the most unique, and relaxing experiences I’ve ever had! I felt so welcome and calm even before we started, as Amanda takes great care to be sure her clients are at ease throughout the entire process. The energy of the space is also super warm and inviting. I’m excited to return for another treatment, and to peruse the storefront. Do not hesitate to book a session with her!

After I moved to VT from NYC, I searched and searched for the perfect salon, driving all over the state (and getting very lost on my journeys). I was so fortunate to stumble upon Lumiere. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was home. Once I sat down in the chair, Amanda's space became a shared space. She is one of the most intuitive people I have ever met. Fast forward 2.5 years, many fabulous cuts and conversations and on to Amanda's brand new head spa. I think of it as a facial for my hair. The water feels incredible. I get completely immersed in sound and light, and am able to let all the craziness of life go for an hour. What's more, my hair feels fuller and softer. The experience is simply lovely. If you haven't booked yet, you should do so...right now. :-)

Absolutely lovely experience! I was so lucky to secure a spot for a head spa treatment with Amanda and it was everything I hoped for and more. Soooo relaxing, exactly what I’d been needing and a treat I’ll be giving myself again very soon.

the illuminance ceremony was the best service i’ve ever had! the treatment itself was incredibly relaxing and felt wonderful for my scalp, all of the products used smelled so good, the space was absolutely beautiful, and amanda was just a GEM! very highly recommend, it was worth the drive to St. J for those who aren’t local ❤️
