I cannot recommend Juan enough! His work is nothing short of magnificent. From the moment you sit in his chair, you know you’re in the hands of a true artist. Juan doesn’t just cut hair—he creates masterpieces. The compliments I receive after every appointment are proof of his talent.

Due to a sensitive reason I had to change my style and this salon is very respectful, supportive, and caring. Mark and Michael are both extremely talented!

I was unable to keep my appointment for today, but the staff at this establishment completely understood and were very accommodating. If I could have rescheduled for a later time, I would have done so, but unfortunately, there were no openings available. This was not the fault of the establishment. I appreciate their understanding and professionalism.

Michael does a wonderful job cutting and dying my hair! I get lots of complements on my hair. The people working at the front desk are always warm, welcoming, and helpful. The manager, Katie Rose, is also always welcoming, knowledgeable about the products, and very helpful!

I’ve had several positive experiences here. The salon is very clean and the staff are kind and welcoming. I had a negative hair color experience here recently that has made me completely regret getting it done. The highlighting was messy, uneven, and left a big line on the top of my hair. The staff were extremely professional and accommodating in offering a free redo with another stylist, but the other stylist was not able to completely fix the bad highlighting job. There is still a random line on top of my head that I’m expecting to just have to grow out over time. It’s much lighter than the rest of my hair, so it can’t really be covered. I’m bummed that I spent $200 to end up with hair that just wasn’t done well. There’s no way the original stylist wouldn’t have noticed the very obvious line or other errors while finishing up my hair. In the end it was just careless.

I had been seeing Erika for years, until I moved out of town. I just moved back and went for a haircut with her, and I’m obsessed! The salon now offers a “Be Curly” cut, which is perfect for me as I like to wear my hair In its naturally wavy state. I was paying $150 at a “curly” salon in Boston, and this cut was even better than what I got there for 2/3 the price. I was already a loyal customer, but I felt compelled to write a review and spread the love!

A very disappointing chain of events leads me to this one star review. (First-time customer, short cut) First, I waited 25 minutes in this basement waiting room to have the stylist surprised I was waiting because she was waiting on me? Okay… Not sure what happened there but long waits can happen. Then, I get sat down. The stylist is not personable or friendly (except with the fellow staff). Like we literally didn’t have a single conversation. She asks me what I’m looking to do and proceeds to argue with me on the length of my hair from a picture I show her (a picture of me from my last cut). Okay, weird for an Aveda salon, but it’s a 6pm appointment so I get it, long day. Then we get to the actual cut… 15 minutes (shorter than my wait time). It was rough. I don’t hate it but I would argue there was some creative freedom with the length. That’s to say, it doesn’t match the picture I showed, ironic. There was a lot of weird funny things that happened in the 15 min. The stylist blow dried my cut hair right into my face. She used a single pair of large scissors (for everything). Left one side of my hair longer than the other. And then tells me to remember to come in a month and “remind me of who you are, because I see so many people I won’t remember you” In my head, I’m screaming you don’t have to worry about that… All of this would be forgivable if I didn’t pay $80 (BEFORE TIP) for the experience. Imagine paying $80 for a 15 minute haircut that you waited double for. While I was waiting, I debated leaving. This is a lesson in trusting your gut. It felt like a Great clips cut worth $20. I will say since it was my first time I was gifted a travel size Aveda hand lotion (maybe this should calculate into my evaluation of the cost lol) The front desk seemed nice enough. This place feels like it’s great for returning people with their go to stylist. But new people just be cautious who you get I guess…

Absolutely worst hair cut of my life. James cut my hair so poorly, around 2 inches shorter than asked. Did not communicate at all through the haircut or even ask if I liked it at the end. The face frames and layers were sloppy, uneven, and so short. Not sure why I even bothered to show a picture of what I wanted. No one can even lie and tell me it looks good--wish I never made an appointment Only saving grace were the front desk staff who helped me get a refund but too bad I can't get my hair back pre-botch.
