Heres my edit since i keep getting calls and texts from this salon asking if im going to remove or edit my review! I was refunded for my haircut only. I will not be changing the star review because it is deserved. A stylist did a bad job and it's meant to reflect that, especially when no part of my review is exaggerated. Honestly receiving calls and texts while im at my job over this review nearly a month after originally writing it has left an even worse taste in my mouth about this salon. Original review: I'm rarely the type to write a review, let alone a bad one but I have literally not stopped looking at my hair in horror since my appointment at Landis Marmalade. Let me walk through my day 1) after contacting the stylist on Monday (8/19) they let me know the appointment would be at 10am on the upcoming Friday (8/23). I showed up to the Landis Sugar House location at 10am Friday and was informed by receptionist that I was at the wrong location since the stylist only worked at the marmalade location on Fridays. At this point I wasn't aware of there even being 2 locations. The receptionist said she'd contact the stylist for me letting them know I'd be just a few minutes behind but when they tried to look me up in the booking system to see if I was properly in the system. The receptionist was unable to find me in the system and asked to see if I had any texts confirming my appointment with the stylist. I showed her a set of messages and the receptionist confirmed that yes, I should've been in the system since on my end I had done everything correctly. The receptionist called the stylist who already had another 10am client with them (so now I've been both not booked AND double booked) and the stylist asked if I'd be willing to come in at 2:30pm (4.5 hours after scheduled appointment) and I said yes, despite this now impacting my work day and forcing me to take time out of my day. I was upset by this but willing to look past it. I arrived for the second appointment at 220pm and checked in at the Marmalade location and asked to sit in the waiting area. At 2:30pm I was still waiting and continued to sit there for another 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment. The stylist came and got me and I explained my hair history and was aware that due to previous bleaching I had breakage and some split ends. I was told that I would need to cut off around 3 inches to get the damage off and I was completely okay with this! I showed them 2 images of a shag that was longer and another one that was a shorter cross between a shag and a feminine mullet. Both of them I've used to show my other stylist several times and she's nailed it every time so I don't know what went through the head of this stylist at Landis Marmalade. I had all sorts of layers cut into my hair that made no sense, chunks taken out randomly, and now my hair is a choppy mess that looks made me look liked medieval British boy. I am not a stylist myself so I didn't really know if I should say anything but I know now that my bad feelings during the process were most definitely valid especially once my hair got fully dry by the time I was home. My friend who's a stylist was shocked that someone didn't stop me from leaving the building with how bad it was. I didn't confront the stylist, which I should've but I dont think I wouldve been comfortable with them doing anything more to my hair. I paid and quickly left, got into my car, looked into the mirror and started crying. A year of growing my hair out completely down the drain is all I've thought since. I got home and tried to restyle it not liking how the curls turned out. Once I started straightening it I truly saw how bad it was. Huge straight across layers along the back and random cuts on the sides, topping it off with uneven fringe. I've got super thick hair and somehow it's been made to look super thin. I'm insanely disappointed and now I need to go get this mess fixed by another stylist elsewhere. I purchased 2 things- a haircut and a hair treatment (bottle). This gave me a grand total around $119.

Lee is the absolute best! Friendly and professional service, fun to talk to, and takes great care of my hair. I’ve been going to her for several years, she’s a color expert and blends it beautifully. I’ve referred other family and friends to her because she’s so amazing. We all look forward to great conversation and excellent hair care during appointments. The salon environment is stylish and clean. Extra add-on’s like hand and scalp massages and massage chairs are fabulous as well. Thanks Landis!

Amy is amazing for all things aesthetics. I love getting my eyelashes tinted so I don’t have to wear mascara. She is professional, fun, and knows her stuff. She also educated me about eyelash serum and my eyelashes are 3 times longer.

My hair has never looked so good. I am so happy with the results, Paige is just wonderful. And everyone there is so positive and sweet. 10/10 will go back again and recommend this place. 🩵🩵

Logan was amazing! He spent plenty of time understanding what I wanted, discussing options, and then doing exactly what we discussed. I left with the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. I’m very happy with how everything went and I’m excited to go back.

I got my hair cut today at Landis SLC by Autumn and she did an amazing job! She was great at the complementary scalp and shoulder massage to start off with, and getting my hair washed felt amazing too! She was very detail oriented and thorough with my haircut as well. I was trying something new and she delivered beautifully! She was even very kind and understanding when I wanted to change a few things. She was kind and easy to talk to as well. I definitely recommend Autumn and Landis Salon!

I was greeted right away and was cared for so well throughout my visit. Paige did an amazing job on my hair. The color and cut are better than I anticipated. Wonderful experience.

Emma did AMAZING!!! She colored my horrible pink/ blonde money piece ( that I did myself lol) to the orangy copper of my DREAMS!! Loved the conversation we had and the blowout!!
