Great facility, a little lacking in design for K-Spa. The various rooms look like copies of one another, slightly different heat in each room, but all feel and smell the same other than temp. The cold pool was at a consistent 70 degrees which really isn't very cold at all. The sauna and steam room in the men's facility was not hot enough - it took way too long to get a good sweat, if you could at all. While I think it is not hot enough where meant to be hot or cold enough where meant to be cold, and the various rooms are too plain, it was kept very clean with very friendly staff and very affordable.

Pretty and clean, however a little overpriced in my opinion based on other places I have been. A little disappointed you have to be fully naked for the whirlpools.
The massage however was Awesome. We had Echo and Leah and they were super sweet and very in touch w/ if it was too rough or not.
I love the Ice sauna..
The other saunas were nice as well, they need to invest in more comfortable headrests..

**Update: I got a facial massage, and it was one of the best feelings ever! The staff was super professional and was making sure if i was comfortable during the session.
We visited during the weekend and had an excellent experience. The venue felt luxurious, looked very clean, and had friendly staff. You’ll find gender-segregated areas for bathing. Here, the custom is to shower before dipping into the array of hot and cold pools that'll help relax and loosen your body before heading into an array of different temperature hot saunas.
Moreover, this spa complements the traditional aspects with a variety of modern amenities, such as entertainment lounges, relaxation areas, and an array of dining options that allow you to savor Korean culinary delights.
The family-friendly atmosphere makes it an accessible retreat for all ages, and the reasonable entry fee means you can enjoy everything on offer without haste.

Okay, I can't say I'm a spa queen, however I have had my share of spa experiences and I've been to one other Korean spa with this concept. Island Spa and Sauna hits high marks in every category. I spent my birthday there so was really hoping for the best and I received it. The services were outstanding, the staff is professional and efficient - every single person who helped us was engaging and did a great job, the facilities are clean, the place is well-organized and overall it definitely provides exactly what you're looking for in a Korean spa. Also the juice bar and cafe food is high quality & delicious!

Hands down the best spa & sauna in NJ.
I have been to multiple spas/saunas in New York and New Jersey, and this is the best sauna experience I ever had - even comparable to the best saunas in South Korea.
Although the cold pool is not as cold as you would expect if you were from South Korea, it still is great. There are three pools and two saunas, and the public area is so nice with cheap food. (I was expecting way more expensive pricing.)
Everything is clean, and I visit here bi-weekly from NY. I love it!

Stepping into this spa feels like entering a hidden oasis, a tranquil refuge where the chaos of the outside world melts away the moment you slip off your shoes. My best friend and I have made it our ritual to escape here whenever life’s noise becomes too loud. The check-in process is seamless, warm greetings, a quick browse of the services (our go-tos are always the deep tissue massage and the transformative Korean body scrub), and then we’re handed crisp uniforms, soft locker keys, and paper bracelets that feel like golden tickets to relaxation.
Once checked in, we're handed our spa uniforms, bracelets, and locker keys. The experience begins with a small ritual; placing our outdoor shoes in a designated mini-locker before heading to the main locker room. The space is impeccably clean, with a soothing ambiance that sets the tone for the day. We sign our waivers and prepare to indulge.
Before our treatments, we love to immerse ourselves in the sauna circuit, hopping from one to another, feeling the heat penetrate our muscles until we finally brave the cold sauna, a refreshing shock to the senses. Then, it’s time for our services. The deep tissue massage works out every knot and tension, while the Korean body scrub leaves our skin feeling impossibly smooth, like silk.
But the experience doesn’t stop there. Afterward, we retreat to the bathhouse, soaking in the different temperature pools, letting the water work its magic. It’s the perfect way to extend the bliss before heading to another highlight...THE FOOD!!
Island Spa’s café is a hidden gem within this oasis. The dumplings? Absolutely to die for. The spicy pork bulgogi and beef bulgogi? Utterly scrumptious. We savor every bite, chatting and laughing in the warm, cozy setting. To top it off, we always stop by the juice bar, sharing a refreshing drink. We either order the tri-apple or the sunset detox, both bursting with flavor and goodness.
Every visit is a little escape, a reset for the body and mind. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and indulge in pure relaxation, Island Spa is the perfect haven. Highly recommend!

My daughter bought us a very generous gift card for Island Spa & Sauna!
Conveniently located in Edison, not far from my home town.
Plenty of parking located in shopping center!
I called to make reservations!
Very helpful staff on the phone.
There is an admission fee and you pay for services.
With the gift card, admission fee was waived for me.
The complimentary admission with gift card expires in 6 months. Make sure you take advantage of this perk before the expiration.
Monday- Friday admission fee is $45, weekends $55.
We booked deep muscle couple massages.
You are asked to arrive 45 minutes before your first appointment.
We arrived and were given a wrist badge with locker key, uniform- shorts & shirt and towel. Wrist badge had a number and that’s how you could charge items while you were at the spa. No need to carry credit cards or cash.
No shoes!
Lockers at entrance for shoes!
There are separate men’s and women’s locker room, baths & scrub lounges.
My daughter mentioned you might see people in the nude.
I said I am okay with that!
Well! Being in the buff was the only way to use the saunas, baths and showers in this area!
Took me a bit to get the courage but I did it!!
Baths were very relaxing!
You need to schedule appointments for the scrubs- available in 30 or 60 minutes.
Then we headed to the main area where you must wear your uniform.
Beautiful and peaceful environment!
Loved the deep tissue massage!
You can book additional sessions once you are there.
I booked the head and neck massage.
Very relaxing!
Enjoyed lunched and affogato.
Restaurant and juice bar on site!
Noticed they allowed water bottles.
Will bring mine next time.
After lunch, we enjoyed the various saunas.
And lounged in the recliner chairs.
You can also get facials.
There was a yoga and sleep room!
Bathrooms in both the women’s locker room and main area.
Very soothing and relaxing day!
All my neck kinks were gone!
Definitely recommend!
Yes‼️ you’ll need to be in the buff!!
Well being nude in public is off my bucket list
