We stayed at the Tamaya to celebrate our anniversary. As locals, we had been here before to go swimming in the summer, but we had never actually stayed overnight before. The room was beautiful and a good size. We had a balcony view, facing the resturant downstairs and the Kiva pool. The pillows were very uncomfortable but the room itself was very clean and nice. We spent our time at the beautiful hot tub that was very hot but peaceful. We also took advantage of the complementary smores kits and roasted our marshmallows at one of their fire pits. We even ordered room service that was very good and arrived quickly to our room. We were going to eat breakfast at the Santa Ana Cafe, however after looking over the menu, we felt it was a bit overpriced and decided to go elsewhere. Throughout our stay, we wished we had access to water stations and ice as we quickly drank the two complimentary bottles of water stocked in our room. I asked a cleaning lady in the morning where we could get more water and she said they didn't have any stations, but handed me two additional water bottles off her cart which was nice. All in all, our stay at the Tamaya was very postive. We will definitely be back again as we LOVED the hot tub and cozy room.

I had made reservations at the hotel several months in advance for a business conference, or so I thought. It turns out I made reservations by mistake for the hotel down the road. I was told that they didn't have anymore availability, however the general manager came our and spoke to me. He was able to make some calls and finish the remodeling of a room so that I could stay there. I was shocked at the personal care the took to accommodate me and help me get out of a sticky situation of my own making. In ran into the general manager in the hallway the next day and he asked me how the room was and even remembered my name. They went above and beyond to take care of me. The room was updated, clean, and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for their excellent customer service and beautiful hotel accommodations.

Although I went to the Tamaya Resort & Spa for a work conference, it turned out to be one of the most relaxing and fun stays I've had in a while! The atmosphere from the moment I walked in was soothing. Loved the fireplaces and comfy chairs and couches in the main lobby. The staff were some of the most friendly and helpful I've encountered. I got in late...was tired from traveling but hungry so I ordered from the In Room Dining menu and got parmesan truffle fries. They arrived promptly and were hot and oh so delicious! All my other food was so good, even the catered conference food! I took a two-mile walk on the trail down to the Rio Grande and then out to the stables just before sunset. Absolutely gorgeous! And the Palominos were so beautiful. Didn't have time for a trail ride, unfortunately. A highlight was the spa. I got a 50-minute massage with Tori. Best massage I've ever had. You have access to the spa all day when you purchase a service so I spent time in the relaxation room, the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. It was glorious and the perfect ending for a work trip. I can't say enough about this resort and hope to come back!

Overall: A beautiful location with great services for hosting work conferences. The good: Was at the resort for 4 days for a work conference, and it was a smooth stay both personally and logistically for the conference. The Wifi was smooth, food delicious, technology support solid, and of course all on a beautiful resort setting. It was nice to go on walks on the various trails by the resort, and taking in the beauty of the area (even from inside). Great pool areas and outdoor spaces, and the hotel itself fits the local culture and is gorgeous. The not-so-good: Limited food options outside of the bar area and upscale restaurant. The fitness center was a little underwhelming, given the size of the resort. It is a bit secluded, which can be refreshing but also a hassle if you want to leave the resort and don't have a car or rental.

Beautiful resort! Wonderful & comfortable rooms! The area we stayed in had newly renovated rooms. Our trip was far too short!||The pools look like they would be so enjoyable but it was far too windy and cold. ||||We enjoyed the tummy bread from the bread making experience.

For a convention, this is a beautiful property. It can be a bit of a walk from the lobby/restaurant to your room, but the views are beautiful, and the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Service was excellent, prompt, and friendly. Room service is basic but there are many things to do on the property. The atmosphere is unique and peaceful.

Leaving with special memories - this property is aesthetically interesting, welcoming and calming, and what you want from an escape in this tea. Wonderful views. Nice pool area and firepits! Second stay - prior October 21. Greatly enjoyed both.

I expect higher standards from a Hyatt Resort. There was paint smeared on the shower hose, adjusting the shower head was extremely difficult, there was a huge gap between the shower doors allowing a constant cold draft and to get hot water in the shower, you had to spin the lever around several rotations. The thermostat read many degrees off making it difficult to control the temperature. Breakfast service in the restaurant was incredibly slow, wasted a couple of hours, the waitress rarely came near our table and the kitchen was incredibly slow even though the restaurant only had a few tables occupied and appeared to have plenty of servers. Overall, very disappointed, especially considering the cost.
