I had a gift card I received from Christmas for Highlands. I really enjoy the steam room so I was happy to go there and do that. The massage was not really what I was used to but it was ok. I talked myself into a 90 min massage from 55, and should have stuck to the 55 min. Agree with other reviews about the bright light in the rooms when switching over onto your back, they cover your eyes with a sheet that doesn't do much. The spa music is ungodlily loud as well, barely relaxing music, more like high energy and loud. The room I was in was right next to the women's locker room, heard every door close and open. Walls and doors in the room are not sound proof so every time someone went in the locker room area could hear them. I would go back, but try another massage therapist next time.

I booked a 10 am massage and was told to get there early if I wanted to use the steam room . I checked the website and it said it opened at 9. I got there about 920 and it was locked up. It even said on the door that it opened at 9 . I wondered if I had made a mistake so I double checked my appointment . Yep, it was 10. I went around back and the back door opened for me . When I walked in the receptionist said “ I don’t open the doors u til 930 “ I said “ it says you open at 9. She said “I am training someone right now so could you come back in 15 min?” I said no it’s cold out there . She said well you can look around in our retail area . I said ok . I started looking and….. she turned off the lights. What the heck. I will probably not go back there again . Customer service was sub par to say the least . Never have I been treated that way at a spa.

After a personal trifecta of a career change, move, and break up in one week, I decided to treat myself to a Hilltop Getaway spa package for a trifecta of self-care and relaxation. The massage, facial, and pedicure left me so rejuvenated and fresh! Amy gave me skincare advice including a hand-written note of what products to look for, and Amanda provided such pleasant and inspiring conversation during my pedi. Our paths were meant to cross! These three hours were worth every cent!

I had a great massage experience. Professional, friendly and courteous. However only 3 stars because the manicure and pedicure experience was a disappointment! Your ladies were very nice, but it was not a great atmosphere and the polish product less than adequate. Two weeks out and the Gel polish chipping and peeling. I now have to get my nails done again. More $$ again. For the cost of a spa experience this should be excellent products and a better atmosphere. One of your competitors in town offered a Mimosa to sip while you received your manicure or pedicure. Highland Day Spa did not deliver in this area. I can’t pop back in for you to repair my nails. See photos chipped polish and peeling. One already gone completely.

Ok so here's my take! It's always a gamble trying a new place.... and unfortunately this Is a would not repeat for me. Loving CDA resort and LaRive we went hoping for a similar experience. I gave it 3 stars because our technicians were absolutely friendly, kind, and sweet. I brought my mom, sister, and myself in for facials as a christmas gift. I asked both of them to honestly rate their facial 1-10 and they both gave it a 5. I'd agree for mine. The technicians give the vibe that they are straight out of beauty school and lack experience. They would be doing a huge favor to the spa to allow them to practice on eachother to gain experience. The management should be getting a facial from every aesthetician before they are charging the amount they do for a mediocre experience. They need to be confident in the staff they have that every guest that comes through the door is in for such a treat. With all that said I still tipped 20% because it's the right thing to do and like I said these women were very sweet. Just lacking experience.

I tried to schedule a massage online the night prior. I booked a massage and it didn’t offer a place to click for a male or female therapist. In the morning I called to inquire if they received my massage request. They did receive my request, but said it was with a male therapist. I said I do not want a male therapist. Since they didn’t have a female available, I asked to reschedule. Since I made the appointment the night prior, I was obligated to pay for the massage. It was going to be my first time to receive a service at Highlands Day Spa. In my opinion, horrible customer service, which is okay, because I WILL NEVER go there. I will never recommend this spa.

I love this place so much! I've gone here for years to get massages and they always do such a great job! It's peaceful and perfect for a self-care day. I've had the best deep tissue massages there--more than anywhere else in town! The customer service is always wonderful and friendly. Highly recommend getting all your spa needs here!

I’m sitting getting my pedicure done as I type this…. Because I couldn’t wait to share how awesome this experience has been. My esthetician was knowledgeable and friendly, the facial and dermaplane was perfection. She even gave me recommendations for my specific skin care routine. My masseuse was kind and and made my first massage experience, albeit short, so worthwhile. I can’t wait to go back for a longer massage. The pedicure and scrub was so relaxing. The gal doing my pedicure is sweet and gentle. Their steam room is intense in a good way, I love it and stopped in between each appointment. Their facility is clean, there are refreshments in each room and excellent service. Can’t wait to come back!
