High Maintenance Salon

Kori was amazing.... She did my color correction and also and cut it exactly how I was picturing it in my head. Vibe was nice and mellow. Will be going back from now on.

This salon is the best in Rapid City, they do amazing hair and Marla is incredible with extensions! Been coming here for years and highly recommend.

Marla has been styling my hair for 17 years (since 2007!)! I have followed her from her basement…to every salon she has ever owned. She is so knowledgeable about color and extensions. She is truly one of the best in the business. Color is an art….and she’s amazing at it. She uses the best products, attends continuing education all over the country, and hosts seminars for hair dressers all over Rapid City. You won’t find a better stylist or salon. ❤️

Marla and her fellow stylists are remarkable. She is driven and always wants to provide her clients excellent service. Marla (and I know many others in her salon) works to grow in her specialities because she takes tremendous pride in her work. She wants to ensure the services she provides are more than adequate. Marla communicates clearly steps of her service and how we can get the desired look and then some. I don’t ever have to worry about outcomes and am always pleased. Not only that but my expectations are consistently exceeded.

My wife was the actual customer, not me. She saw Brooklyn. Said Brooklyn took the time to discuss options for her hair and that she was very helpful. She was pleased with the way Brooklyn cut and styled her hair. She is anxiously awaiting to make an appointment for a color. I'll update the post when that happens.

Loved the hairdresser who did my daughters hair! She got a lot of hair choped off! And it looks so good!!! She did amazing on her bangs!! Not only was she able to keep a conversation going the atmosphere and friendliness was amazing! Highly recommend to give them a try!!

Would NOT recommend. Got my hair done here by Makayla, when asked to fix my haircut she proceeded to tell me my mother had gotten her hair done here by Brittany and did not pay. When I said that was not true she had basically called me a liar and said it was all on camera. My mother and I contacted the owner and attempted to contact Brittany who did not respond. The owner said it was somebody else who didn’t pay when given the date and time that she was there when Brittany had botched her hair color when getting blonde done and it came out pink. When telling the owner about this lie being brought to me by another hair stylist Makayla and requesting this “video” she then said it wasn’t her problem and she didn’t care. Later on Makayla had changed her narrative and said yes Brittany must be lying because of not doing a good job on my mother’s hair and Makayla had said she still would fix my cut. Still never heard from her to fix the cut, my mother and I never received an apology or anything from Makayla, Brittany or the owner. 100% would not recommend. Paying customers who get treated as such for absolutely no reason. Also want to add that we gave them a chance to make things right before making this review but that never happened and apparently they like to remove bad reviews from their Facebook🤷🏻‍♀️

Called to get my hair done and was told one of the girls will call me back. Well I didn’t get a call got a text and after 5 minutes of texting no response back for 3 days very disappointed after they were recommended by a lot of people. Texted Makayla back letting her know I found someone else to do it and didn’t appreciate no response back I got a life story and told she doesn’t have time to get back to people she has to busy of a life for that and goes into telling someone their life story. Very unprofessional. An apology goes along way and she didn’t even seem apologetic at all. A solution would be instead of texting call that way no one is left sitting waiting and things can be handled quicker than making the person wait for an answer back or no answer at all.
