My facial was done by Brooke. It was awesome. She explained everything and made recommendations. I was comfortable & relaxed. My skin looked and felt amazing afterwards. The entire staff is professional & friendly. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. Wonderful atmosphere.

First time visiting hand & stone (Holmdel) location.. the staff was super helpful/ friendly and Sabrina was excellent. Constantly dealing with soreness in my shoulders,knees, and upper back.. felt brand new after the full body massage. Ended up getting a membership, it’s a good way to treat yourself from the wear and tear of daily life,fitness, or just to relax. Highly recommend and I am excited to make this part of my routine.

Really love my membership here. Have had a few different facials and I always leave with my skin glowing. Also have had a few different massages and every single person has done a great job. Very respectful, I feel comfortable and look forward to using my membership even a year + later!

Call to book an appointment—do not book online! I recently decided to start getting facials because my acne has been terrible for a while. I’ve tried multiple products and even consulted doctors to rule out any underlying issues, but everything came back normal. When I looked online for appointments, I initially saw only 9 AM weekday slots. However, after creating an account on Saturday night, I noticed two Sunday openings—one at 9 AM and one at 10:30 AM. I booked the 10:30 AM slot and added it to my calendar as I do with all appointments. On Sunday at 10:05 AM, I received a call informing me that I was late for my appointment and that I would be charged a 50% fee if I didn’t arrive by 10:15 AM. Confused, I called back, explaining that I had booked a 10:30 AM appointment per the website. The receptionist, Emily, was incredibly rude and insisted that no such time slot existed. She told me I would still be charged for missing my appointment, even though this was clearly a scheduling error. I live just 10 minutes away, so I continued driving while explaining my situation. At one point in the conversation, there was an awkward pause, so I asked if she was still there. She responded that she was waiting for the esthetician to answer. I pointed out that if I was going to be charged $40 regardless, I would rather spend $80 to actually receive some help. She refused and simply stated that I could reschedule another appointment, but the fee would still apply. Given the treatment I received, I decided not to reschedule due to her poor attitude. This was my first experience with this location, and given the mix-up, I expected a little more understanding. Instead, Emily made me feel as if I had fabricated the situation to waste her time. I then called the Aberdeen location, and their staff was incredibly kind and apologetic even though they had no reason to aplogize. They mentioned that the website sometimes glitches, and they’ve had several customers book incorrect times due to system errors. However, unlike the original location, their front desk staff calls customers to inform them of the mistake and does not charge them for the error. I understand that each location is privately owned, but treating a new customer so poorly is definitely not the way to do business. Fortunately, Aberdeen was able to book me for the same day, and I ended up signing up for a membership and purchasing products, spending around $300 in total. Because of the front desk’s treatment, the original location lost a potentially loyal customer. Bottom line: If you’re considering booking here, call them directly—the online system is unreliable, and the customer service at this location was disappointing.

Worst massage I've ever had. Still in pain 24 hours later with my neck and back hurting. I used Bernadette seeing she had last minute availability and it was a mistake. She was doing odd things with her elbows and shaking my body as well. The lotion she used may have been old because the smell was quite bad. She also barely used enough lotion because she was rubbing my back with bare hands and it started to become painful. It is to the point where I will not come back and need to see my chiropractor after just coming in to relax. I also gave the girl at the front desk who was not too friendly and gift card upon arrival. Clearly she forgot. I got a call 5 mins after leaving saying the credit card on file has been closed and we need a payment. I told her I gave her a gift card and she then says ohh that's what you wanted to use??? Why else would I have handed it to you??

I got my mom a facial for her birthday as she’d been talking about getting one for some time. I did the research as far as who had the best reviews right here and made her an appointment with Victoria who she said was lovely and she enjoyed her facial very much. I didn’t realize in making the appointment that my card wouldn’t be charged until the service was rendered so my mother had to call me to allow my card to be run which was fine and she purchased some products herself. The next day, I’m getting calls and texts from Hand and Stone Holmdel notifying me that my mother accepted an add on to her service (she thought it was part of the service options and not an add on but that’s fine). Somehow the front desk didn’t get note that she’d received an add on so they then cancelled both of our transactions and needed to add the service and re-charge us. Now I have a full time job and can’t step away so I was unable to respond and thought no big deal, I will call back after work at 5pm since this location is open until 9pm on weekdays. I received a very nasty email because I hadn’t responded to their calls/texts that morning saying that if I don’t respond I am stealing and the matter would be escalated. I was very upset as I’d paid for the facial and my mother paid for her products, the Holmdel location did not charge my mother for the add on which was not her stealing, it was their error and then their decision to cancel the payments instead of just calling to ask about the $50 add on or charging it to my card that was on file, but now we’re being accused of theft. This was all between 8am and noon on a Tuesday after her Monday facial. I believe the manager there, Lauren, was able to speak to my mother and we have since both re-paid for the services and products. I would never go back here not because of the service because my mom did enjoy her facial but because of the front end staff who felt it necessary to make such an accusation after maybe 3 hours of my not responding on a week day. Now had I been ignoring them for days, sure that would make sense though still their error that brought this all on. They also didn’t leave their name on the email which to me says this email wasn’t approved by management to be sent unless they operate this way. I’ve included the emails. Very hurtful and disappointing to say the least.

My mom and I went for a massage and a facial Paige was amazing with the massage I asked for medium pressure and it was exactly how I wanted it very relaxing and my neck and back feel much better added CBD oil and I think it helped as well and my mom loved the facial as well will definitely be back to see both therapists

The staff members are very nice & made me feel welcomed. The massage therapist was wonderful! I was totally relaxed when she was finished.
