I’m giving 3 stars mainly because the treatment of my very thick natural hair during the blow drying process was not the best. The style turned out cute, but I really don’t understand when someone says they specialize in natural hair and don’t even take time to properly detangle my hair and just yank and snatch at it. Anyone who has 4b/4c natural hair knows you can’t just take any old comb to it and it’s best to work in smaller sections and be patient with your hair or you’ll cause damage and breakage. I decided to reach out after a couple months about just getting a simple braid pattern done for a wig and I would come washed and blow dried. She responded and said she can do it, then when I asked for her availability she never responded. Anyways, it’s a shame because I really feel like these younger stylists really don’t take pride in their work anymore and clients are just a quick buck to them. I will be going back to the old school stylists from now on if I can find one.
