Escape Day Spa

So I went and got a lash lift and tint after doing some research into it and liking the results. I have very long light color eye lashes and don't like wearing mascara.. plus some of my eyelashes stick out straight and down a little. Was pretty relaxing , but at the end when doing the removal of the silicone and products for your eyelashes it got in my one eye bad and the fan for drying my lashes was out of battery. I didn't know at the time, but after looking it up that is a crucial part to making sure your eyelashes dry properly and it affects the lifted outcome in the end. My one eyes eyelashes are a bit more lifted than the other/i still have some blonde eyelashes and it is honestly a bit disappointing of an outcome. I expected them to be perfect, and it looks like i put a single coat of mascara instead and some of my eyelashes on my less lifted eye still stick down. Not sure I'll do a lift again, and after sleeping on it I may call about getting a touch up since they do not seem to have dried properly. I wish I had read about that before and asked her to get another fan for proper drying of my lashes. :/ Edit to add: absolutely love the atmosphere here and that is why even 3 stars with this experience.

I got a manicure and it is uneven, lumpy and bleeding into my cuticles in multiple locations. It is so uneven that it is different colors in different locations. When I pointed out these flaws the nail tech tried but was unable to successfully fix them. I would not recommend this spa for any nail services.

Evelyn was wonderful! Very talented and I felt so relaxed the whole time, and after. She took her time and talked to me when I wanted to and I even fell asleep at other tims. She is a great masseuse!! Highly recommend!

However, today’s experience reminded me exactly why Escape was always my go-to for self-care and relaxation. Matthew, my massage therapist, was phenomenal. My muscles were incredibly tight, but he skillfully worked out every knot. I left feeling completely relaxed, and to my surprise, even my headache was relieved—a true testament to his expertise. Jessica took care of my facial, and she treated my skin with such care and attention. When she asked about my preferences for the session, I shared that I was seeking relaxation more than results. She delivered beyond my expectations, creating such a tranquil experience that I actually fell into a deep sleep—snoring included! I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of being provided with a robe and slippers since I was receiving back-to-back services. This small detail made the entire experience seamless, allowing me to stay comfortable and fully relaxed without needing to change between sessions. The quality of care and service at Escape Day Spa is unparalleled, and the value for what I received simply can’t be beaten. Kicking off the new year in such a blissful way was perfect, and I’m thrilled to say I’ll be a regular once again—whether it’s during visits to Birmingham or even for a special trip just to return here. Thank you, Matthew and Jessica, for an unforgettable experience and for taking such exceptional care of me.

Loved massage from Matt. He was fantastic! For my facial it was with Alexa, she was 15 minutes late which I thought they forgot about me. Her facial was great, except I could hear her phone vibrating every few minutes which wasn't very relaxing. I was a little disappointed in that but overall I had a great experience. Matt totally turned the experience around for me.

I booked the organic facial with Rosemary, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience! Rosemary is extremely professional and friendly, and she made me feel so relaxed. I felt so rejuvenated, and my skin is still glowing today! Exceptional experience!

I’ve been to Escape Day Spa for 2 couples massages and several spray tans over the years. They are incredibly professional and I was very happy with my experience! I never felt uncomfortable or insecure. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It continues to be my favorite spa in Birmingham!

The atmosphere in the spa is very relaxing and peaceful. However, the services I received were lacking. I had a gel french manicure. The tips are already chipping 2 days later. I've had much better manicures. I have lint from the cotton stuck in the polish. You can see it and feel it. The massage was not the best I have had. It was rough, not relaxing at all. My ribs got bruised. You can actually see the bruising. I can't sleep at night because of the pain. Needless to say I will not be back.
