Pricey but beautiful. The staff were helpful but we felt put out a few times when we had questions. I even had 1 valet say i already asked how to get to my room. It was dark and our first time so even if i had asked that shouldn't have been said. We couldn't get wifi to work and had no service. The grounds are beautiful. The room was very spacious and well put together. The decor was very well done. We loved the cowhide theme. We had a balcony with a great view. We ordered room service and my teenager said it was the best burger she's ever had. If you're a bird lover like me you will enjoy the beautiful black winged magpies that are around. The only issue i had was the faucet in the bathroom. If you don't turn it on just right it'll spray all over So move your items from around the sink. There are a lot of reviews with similar complaints so hopefully the issue can be resolved.

Just stayed there 2/17/25 for a week. I liked this hotel. The best part was the shuttle which happened to be a nice new suburban that took us and picked us up from anywhere within a 3 mile radius. This saved me so much money going to go eat and to the plaza. Rooms were cleaned daily. I didn’t feel the tub was cleaned daily and wish the rocks around tub and in shower in corners and around door hinges were cleaner. Wasn’t filthy or anything though. Plenty of water bottles and coffee in the lobby. Water was hot in shower and sinks. Pool was cold but clean. Jacuzzi was warm.

Stay anywhere else. I've never had such terrible customer service! I stayed here last week, despite the mixed reviews on service. It wasn't the most convenient location and as the reviews say, it's dated. Still, I enjoyed my time and booked a trip back (within the last 48 hours). Unfortunately, a serious surgery (that I offered to prove with documentation) got moved up as of today. They refused to give me credit or cancel despite the room only having recently been booked and it being over a month out.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed! The grounds are absolutely beautiful—a perfect blend of elegance and tranquility that really adds to the experience. From the moment I arrived, the valet was incredibly friendly and helpful, setting a welcoming tone that continued throughout my stay. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious, providing both comfort and style. It feel like a luxurious home away from home. One highlight was the bar—when I couldn’t decide on a drink, the bartender crafted an exceptional cocktail that was perfectly suited to my taste. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay. I can’t wait to go back.

Needs a deep cleaning. Our room had a lot of debris build-up in the corners, specifically adjacent to the tub. The bathroom sink is missing the aerator on , so when turning it on, the water splashes everywhere. The shower floor could also use a good scrub. Very nice ambiance overall in the room, the anaconda bar, as well as the grounds. Excellent staff and service. Bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the fireplace.

We loved our stay for a couples weekend. It was one of the most relaxing weekends we’ve had in a long time. We especially loved the Anaconda Bar. Paul was a great bartender and the combination of quality and creativity of the drink menu was refreshing. The spa exceeded expectations, and every staff member we interacted with was helpful and pleasant.

My stay at El Monte Sagrado was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was immersed in the serene beauty and warm hospitality that make this resort a true gem in Taos. The attention to detail, luxurious accommodations, and peaceful ambiance created the perfect getaway. A special thank you to Joshua, who went above and beyond to ensure my experience was unforgettable. His kindness, professionalism, and dedication to outstanding service truly made a difference. He ensured every need was met, simply making me feel welcome, Josh’s hospitality was next level! He made my partners first time visiting his property memorable. We will be returning for his birthday as this has been his favorite property to celebrate milestone moments. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully landscaped grounds, relaxing spa services, and an atmosphere that blends luxury with the natural charm of New Mexico. The pool was were we enjoyed being as it's a very deep pool. It feels as if you are in a hot spring on a mountain. The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed, and the on-site dining was delicious. If you're looking for a magical escape in Taos, El Monte Sagrado is the place to be! I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

I have stayed at El Monte Sagrado previously and it was truly a luxury hotel. It makes me sad to see that the attention to detail is gone. The entire property needs repair broken gate in the pool, grout missing around tiles, walls are dirty. Our room was not clean hair in the bathroom, musty smell, and our coffee cups had chunks of unidentified dried stuff. When someone came to replace them they argued they were just stained. Not something I would usually even care about aside from the push back from the staff. Everyone we encounter seemed annoyed to be working there. It was not Heritage hotel when we have stayed previously. Sad to see it go it downhill and still charge luxury hotel prices.
