I have been going to an Aveda salon for years so when I moved to Pella I immediately scheduled an appointment at Blackstone. Everyone there was very nice & inviting. I have a bleach & tone done on my platinum hair & I had the Aveda formula from my stylist in Wisconsin. I also have sew in hair extensions & I was told the stylist I was seeing could do both. She completely removed my extensions instead of just moving them up & re sewed them back in with black thread! The bleach she did was obviously not the formula I provided her with because the outgrowth that she did was orange instead of platinum! I’m not one to complain so I didn’t say anything at first but then I went back to Wisconsin & happened to run into my stylist. Her immediate reaction was “oh no, what did they do to your hair”. I ended up having her fix everything & decided to message Blackstone. I spoke to the owner who was very kind & understanding. She did refund my money which I was grateful for. I wanted to do this review for anyone else who has platinum hair so they know before scheduling there. I have attached pictures of the black thread they used & the orange color my hair was bleached to.

It was my first time here, and it was a great experience. Mikayla did a wonderful job at cutting and re-layering my hair. It looks fabulous! This was the first salon that I received a scalp & shoulder massage. That is first-class service right there.

I had facial with Hope! She was fantastic! I loved how she would ask about different things prior to my facial to find out how more comfortable I can be! She gave me a relaxing experience that I would definitely recommend to others especially if you’re stressed! At the end, she wrote down the skincare routines for day and night with her recommendations based on my skin. SHE WAS AMAZING!

I went to Jesse at Blackstone Salon and she did a great job!! She was so friendly and easy to talk to. My hair was in a bad shape when I went in. After full highlights, all over color, and a toner it feels better the ever! I have never been to someone that has done highlights with absolutely no damage to my hair. The salon is very clean. I love the whole atmosphere there. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Blackstone Salon!
