Poor communication and customer service. My girlfriend and I used to get massages here and bought them in packs of 6.
My massage today I thought was at 11 and it was at 10. My mistake. I got a phone call around 10:20 asking if I still wanted to come in for a shorter massage or reschedule. I chose to reschedule and said I would speak with my girlfriend to decide on a time. Later I got a call saying I needed to pay for the massage. This was never mentioned during the call as I would have surely come in knowing I needed to pay for the massage either way. I asked if I had credits left for massages and was told that I have no credits and in fact have never actually had a massage at the salt cave. They had no record of me or my girlfriend getting a massage there (we have been in a handful of times in the last year for massages).
Very poor organization and poor customer service.

Salt scrub with Megan was awesome. She was so nice & made me feel very comfortable. My skin has become extremely dry & nothing I have tried has worked. I was a little worried how it would do but knew I needed to try something more. Leaving my skin feels so moisturized & there is a lot less burning. Also, they have a dreamy skin care line. An organic strawberry rhubarb lotion that is what strawberry lovers dreams are made of 😍 🍓

After traveling over 3,000 miles on a motorcycle over 7 days I was ready to relax and do
something good for my body and the salt cave was just what we needed. Our session was 45 mins and that was the perfect amount of time. We loved the reclining chairs so much I took a picture of the tag so we could purchase them for our lanai in Florida! We had been really suffering with our sinuses by being on the road with full helmets and different climates, rain and road grime but as soon as the salt machine came on we cleared tight up! Other than that you don’t feel any certain way after just relaxed and kind of energetic but not
in a caffeine kind of way if that makes sense to be relaxed and energetic at the same time. I loved the over all sense of serenity in the slat cave and have added it to my dream home building plans. Come on Lotto! *IMPORTANT* Make reservations ahead of time because they book up quick

I made an appointment online for a couple of services since I was curious about the salt cave. My appointment time was 9am, I showed up right around 8:30 so I could get any paperwork done and maybe enjoy some salt time! It was cold and I was ready to be WARM! Doors were unlocked, lights on, but no one to greet me. I jiggled my keys, coughed, cleared my throat a few times hoping someone would hear me. Nobody ever came out to check me in. Nobody there to explain how to enjoy salt cave. I would have left but they had my credit card info and I did not want to deal with a dispute. Finally at 8:50 my girl came out and took me back. My treatments were fine but I am not impressed by the running of front. I love to visit spas, and I expect a bit of pampering and relaxation. I did not get that here. After my mud wrap, I showered and the towels smelled bad. Musty? Not pleasant! Finally at checkout, 3 staff members hanging out out front. I wondered out loud where were you earlier? Nothing included with your treatments. No salt cave time. That is EXTRA! My treatments were done by Cathy, she was very apologetic and she did a good job! She also gave me a complimentary bag of salt.
I am off to Las Vegas to try a new spa! Stay tuned.

Horrible customer service. We plan a trip once a year to Spearfish. Last year we booked a couples massage and salt cave experience for today since it is Rally time. I called in June to confirm the appointment. I called again today at noon to confirm. We get there and they say they don’t even have it in the system as ever being booked. The lady at the front was unhelpful. Then a massage therapist came out and huffed at me and my husband as I ask for how they are going to make it right. She said we could come back 2 hours later. Which was fine until she did her little huff. We took the entire day off of doing things around the Hills to be there for our appointment which we already had confirmed TWICE. I call the owner and she says they had it blocked off but not scheduled for yesterday (which was not the date and time we scheduled) and had told her employees to figure out why it was blocked off. We didn’t get a phone call or anything. We could have taken yesterday to be there. The entire experience was awful. We will not be coming back especially how we were treated. Not a place to relax. We looked forward to this all year. The fact that the therapist huffed at us and walked away was enough to make me write my review. Extremely disrespectful and not someone I want to work on me.

I've been here twice, the first time wasn't great, but this time I had a massage and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing, I would love to sit there all day. McKenna is great!!

I have been using April as my massage therapist for many years now and I couldn't ask for better. I love that she knows my muscles and what I need. I no longer look for a massage when I travel because I have everything I need with April and no one compares.
I also have allowed my children to enjoy the salt cave and they love it. They now ask to go to the Black Hills Salt Cave! It's just a fantastic place for all!
