I got a massage here on my last day in Hawaii. Everyone was friendly and helpful (especially given that I booked the same day). My massage therapist was great and was attentive and adjusted the pressure as I needed. I got an outdoor massage which was delightful and very relaxing. The steam room and jacuzzi in the locker area was a really nice plus, and I spent about 40 minutes there after my massage. Prices are certainly high, but fairly standard for beach resort setting and I would definitely return the next time I want to splurge.

I received an 80 minute massage as a birthday gift. The experience was ok but very pricey, and at the check out the receptionist was very rude. The family member who bought me the massage as a gift had already entered his credit card info during the booking (I confirmed this with him), but the receptionist at the end acted as though she did not have it. I was then in a weird situation so I asked her to charge it to the room, and she proceeded to call the hotel front desk like I was trying to pull a fast one on her or something- talking in a whisper and then laughing. Major attitude. It ruined the experience and I wish I had gone elsewhere especially since it was so expensive. I felt guilt my family member wasted his money when I left feeling so disrespected. If you are considering this spa you would be best served to go elsewhere. I complained by email and got a response that if I booked another service I’d get a “birthday gift” but we were checking out the next day, which I think they knew, and nothing would make me spend more money there anyway after being treated like that.

If you are staying at the Hilton or the Royal Hawaiian, I would highly recommend a service at the abhassa spa. Getting a treatment in one of their outdoor rooms is pure bliss! I received a facial which also included a massage on the shoulders, arms, and feet. Definitely worth it.

I came to Abhasa spa on my last day in Hawaii and I am glad I did. It was a perfect way to end this magical trip. This is a beautiful and tranquil place. Just a perfect place to relax!

My husband booked a deep tissue massage at this spa, located in the Royal Hawaiian, for me as a Mother’s Day gift. I have some very painful tension in my neck and shoulders. The spa is quite a ways down two stairs and at the back of a hallway sort of tucked away inside the hotel. I loved that the staff took notice of my notes on my intake form and my masseuse Kara went above and beyond my expectations with her vibrant friendliness, checking on pressure levels during massage, accommodating my hearing disability so I would not miss her questions during the treatment and following up to see if I was satisfied and feeling better. I also love that the massage table is outside in a garden like setting, however you do not get to see the views during treatment since you are either face down or eyes covered and curtains usually drawn for privacy. You also hear the sirens, dogs barking, chatter of foot traffic and other city sounds for those who want quiet solitude this may not be for you. This spa does not offer any snacks or beverages except hot tea and water so eat beforehand or plan to eat after. I managed to enjoy the indoor hot tub/spa but had an unfortunate scare when their wooden blinds collapsed from the window next to me. I went into the hallway in a towel to alert someone to this and left a comment on their suggestions box about it, but they never offered to reconcile this issue or make me feel any better after. So in that sense I felt they needed some improvement in hospitality. I was not looking for discounts or free things but I think anyone in my position would have been very frightened by that and expect a little more empathy and understanding. I probably wouldn’t return simply because I would like a spa in better condition inside, and a little more room for its patrons to move past one another when using the facilities. But the masseuse and the products were very pleasing.

this was the worst massage I have ever add. I told the masseuse I had I wanted “medium” intensity and he was poking my left side. The next day I was in intense pain and could not walk. Day 2 now and My symptoms have not improved and i am going to have to go to an urgent care. I did speak to the manager and although she was nice, she but did come up with a plan to assist me.

If you are looking for a spa to experience a lomi lomi massage or deep tissue, I would highly recommend Abhasa Spa located in the heart of Waikiki beach. My wife and I were blown away. From booking, greeting, massage, and amenities, welcoming, personal, and dedicated to your relaxation. 5/5 would recommend to anyone. Add in the essential oils, it’s such a treat and a great value. 80 minutes is the way to go. Beautiful scenery, ASMR natural outdoor sounds… can’t ask for more. Mahalo!

Amazing massage here, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. We had the couples Lomi Lomi outside and it was perfect. Loved the eucalyptus steam room and hot tub afterwards!
